We understand your frustration and we will pray for guidance and patience for you. However, we would like to remind you that it's important to honor your mother, as we are commanded to do so in Ephesians 6:2 WEB: "Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with a promise.
Let's address the concerns you have about your mother's beliefs. It's important to remember that we should focus on our own relationship with God and not get entangled in arguments about doctrines that can cause divisions. As it says in Titus 3:9 WEB: "But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain."
Regarding the issue of worshipping Mary and the saints, we believe that worship should be directed to God alone. Acts 10:25-26 WEB: "When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell down at his feet, and worshiped him. But Peter raised him up, saying, Stand up! I myself am also a man."
Instead of focusing on the differences in beliefs, encourage her to focus on the core of the gospel: Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we are saved. As the Bible says in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother/sister who is struggling with their mother's beliefs. We pray that You would grant them patience, wisdom, and understanding. Help them to focus on their own relationship with You and not get entangled in arguments. We pray that their mother would come to a full knowledge of the truth in Jesus Christ. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray for your mother and to set a godly example for her. Trust that God is at work in her life, just as He is in yours. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to believe in Jesus Christ.
