Goodmorning in Jesus name. Heavenly Father, thank You for a brand new beautiful day. I come before You today standing in the gap for my husband. Lord, You see his heart, his actions, and the words he speaks. Your Word says that You cannot be mocked and that a person reaps what they sow. I pray that You will break through any spirit of deception, hypocrisy, or false security that is operating in his life. I pray that my husband will no longer use the phrase he is a "Christian in the making" as an excuse to tolerate and still engage in sin, and instead have a hunger for true repentance and transformation. Holy Spirit, convict him deeply, draw him to genuine faith in You and Your Word having a true relationship with God through Jesus Christ and please help him to walk in integrity before You and our family. In Jesus' name, Amen. Note; this is a prayer for my husband to no longer have 1 foot in the world and 1 foot towards Christ but to walk up right in one direction and path before the Lord. Please pray with me and for him. God bless you my brothers and sisters in Christ

We join you in lifting your husband before the throne of grace and we thank you for your faithful heart to stand in the gap for him and for your marriage. Your desire for him to walk in integrity and in a true relationship with Jesus Christ honors God and honors the covenant of marriage He has established between a man and a woman.

We hear your burden that he has been using grace as an excuse to remain in sin and to keep one foot in the world and one foot toward Christ. Scripture is very clear about this divided heart. Gal 6:7 says Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. And Rev 3:16 warns So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth. The Lord does not call us to be Christians in the making indefinitely, but to be new creations, for 2 Cor 5:17 says Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. A double minded walk is unstable, as James 1:8 says He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways, and Matt 6:24 reminds us No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. True faith brings repentance and transformation, not a comfortable tolerance of sin. 1 John 1:6 says If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and don't tell the truth.

We pray together for him now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for this new day and for Your mercy that is new every morning. We lift this husband to You, You know his heart and his ways. We ask You to break through every spirit of deception, hypocrisy and false security that has held him. Holy Spirit, convict him deeply of sin and draw him to genuine repentance. Give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him as You promised in Ezek 36:26, and cause him to hunger for Your Word and to walk in integrity before You and before his family. Help him to no longer be double-minded but to draw near to You with a sincere heart, for James 4:8 promises Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lead him to choose this day whom he will serve and to walk upright in one direction on the narrow path that leads to life. Restore and strengthen this marriage for Your glory and let his life be a testimony of Your transforming power.

We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing and to walk out your faith with love, respect and a gentle and quiet spirit before him, as 1 Pet 3:1-2 teaches that husbands may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives. Continue to speak truth in love, to keep the Word before your family, and to trust that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun. We also encourage you to remain in fellowship and in the Word yourself, for your strength comes from the Lord, and to guard your own heart from discouragement. We stand with you believing that God desires for your husband to know Christ not as an idea or a title, but as Lord and Savior, and that He is able to bring true repentance and lasting transformation.

We hear your heart in this prayer, and we are honored to stand with you for your husband. Wanting him to move from one foot in and one foot out to a wholehearted walk with the Lord is a holy desire, and we know it can also bring ache and weariness as you wait and watch.

One thing we have found helpful is remembering that genuine faith is not just feeling sorry or using the right language, but a deep turn of direction that God himself brings about in the heart. We cannot create that hunger in someone else, even someone we love dearly, but we can keep bringing him before the Lord who can. Your faithful prayers and your own steady walk matter more than you may see day to day.

It may help to have one or two trusted believers, perhaps a pastor or mature sister in Christ, who know you are carrying this burden and can pray with you regularly and encourage you, not to strategize how to change him, but to support you as you continue to love him well and guard your own heart.

Father, we lift this husband to You. Draw him to Yourself, give him a true hunger for You and a desire to walk in integrity before You and his family. Break through any false security and lead him into real repentance and new life in Christ. And sustain his wife with Your peace, wisdom and strength as she trusts You. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your prayer for your husband is a right and holy burden, and I join my heart with yours before the throne of grace. To stand in the gap for one so near to you, that he might be turned from a divided path to walk uprightly before the Lord, is a work of love which God delights to honor.

You have judged rightly that a man cannot have one foot in the world and one foot toward Christ and yet stand secure. The Word is true that God cannot be mocked, for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. There is a repentance after a fashion which is carnal and of the flesh, a repentance that leaves the heart unchanged and still makes excuse for sin. It is not that holy, healthy, heavenly sort which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. True repentance gives God glory, for it confesses that sin is exceeding sinful and that salvation must be all of grace. To call oneself a Christian in the making while tolerating what God calls sin is a false security, a form of hypocrisy against which the soul must be warned, for it dishonors Christ and deceives the man himself.

Know this, that repentance and faith are inseparable. No faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith. Repentance unto life is not a mere terror or a passing sorrow, it is the act of salvation in the soul, the germ which contains all the essentials of salvation. It is not a preparation for grace, it is the first result of grace working within the soul. We are to preach repentance in the name of Jesus, as the gift of God. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness through His blood.

Do not think that your husband must attain to some eminent degree of sorrow before he can be saved. There are degrees of repentance, and the least repentance will save the soul if it is sincere, if it leads him to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only. And repentance is not a thing done once at the beginning and then forgotten. Repentance lives as long as faith. Sweet sister Repentance is charming company all the way to the gates of pearl, for even the man assured of salvation still cries, Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me with Your free Spirit.

Therefore let us pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him deeply, not with a frightened and forced confession, but with a free and honest turning to the Lord. The way of salvation remains simple and instantaneous, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. It is without money and without price. Nothing is to be trusted to but the finished work of Jesus Christ upon Calvary's bloody tree. If he trusts Him, if he looks to Him alone, he shall not be ashamed.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask You to break through every spirit of deception and false security in this husband's life. Grant him the gift of true repentance unto life, that he may no longer make excuse for sin but hunger for transformation. Draw him to genuine faith in Christ alone, that believing on Him he may be saved. Cause him to walk in integrity before You and before his family, upheld by Your free Spirit, giving You glory in a life made whole. Restore to him the joy of Your salvation and keep him in the path of uprightness. Amen.

Continue steadfast in prayer, and walk yourself in that integrity you desire for him. The Lord who has begun a good work is able to complete it, and He hears the cries of those who seek His glory in the salvation of their household.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
