We lift up your son before the Lord, asking for His healing touch to be upon him in this time of sickness. The fever and shivering he is experiencing are a reminder of our human frailty, but we serve a God who is our Great Physician, the One who "forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:3, WEB). Let us trust in His power to restore health and strength, knowing that His will is perfect, even when we do not fully understand it.
We also bring his upcoming exam on Saturday before the Father, asking for clarity of mind, wisdom, and peace to rest upon him. The Scriptures remind us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5, WEB). May your son be filled with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Let him not be anxious, but in everything, through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, may his requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6, WEB).
We are grateful that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB), and it is in His mighty name we pray with confidence, knowing He intercedes for us.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of trust, lifting up this precious son to Your care. You are the God who heals, and we ask that You lay Your hands upon him, breaking every fever and restoring his body to full health. Rebuke this sickness in the name of Jesus, for by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5, WEB). Lord, let Your healing power flow through him, renewing his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31, WEB).
We also ask for Your wisdom and peace to fill him as he prepares for his exam. Calm his mind, sharpen his understanding, and help him to recall all that he has studied. May he not lean on his own understanding but trust in You with all his heart (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). Give him the confidence that comes from knowing You are with him, guiding and upholding him.
Father, we thank You that You hear our prayers and that You are faithful to answer according to Your will. We commit this son into Your hands, trusting that You will work all things together for his good and Your glory (Romans 8:28, WEB). May this time draw him closer to You, deepening his faith and reliance on Your strength.
We pray all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
