We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious two-year-old son who is battling a fever. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon this little one. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." Lord, we claim this promise over this child right now.
We also ask for Your peace to surround this family, for the fear and sadness they are feeling are real and overwhelming. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, let Your peace guard their hearts as they wait on You.
We rebuke this fever in the name of Jesus. We command it to break and for this child’s body to be restored to full health. James 4:7 reminds us, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We resist the enemy’s attack on this little one and stand firm in faith, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Father, we also want to gently remind this family of the power of the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). If they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would do so now. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We pray that they would surrender their lives to Him, for He alone is the source of true healing and peace.
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen this child’s immune system and bring down his temperature swiftly. Surround him with Your angels and let Your presence be tangible in this situation. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will, knowing that You love this child even more than his parents do. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
