For my mother ### ###
We lift up your mother before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, trusting in the Great Physician who holds all our days in His hands. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through which we have access to Your throne. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved—only Jesus, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases.
Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon her kidneys. You are the God who formed her inward parts and knit her together in her mother’s womb. You know every cell, every tissue, every organ in her body, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed, and we stand on Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us. We believe that it is Your will for her to walk in divine health, for Your word says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that may be trying to grip her heart or the hearts of your family. Your word tells us, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that she is surrounded by Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and that she will not be anxious about the results of this scan. Instead, we pray that she would cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical team attending to her. Lord, guide their hands, their minds, and their decisions. Give them clarity as they interpret the results, and let them be instruments of Your healing power. We trust in You, Lord, for You are the ultimate healer, and we believe that You can turn this situation around for Your glory.
If there is any area in her life where she needs to draw closer to You, Lord, we pray that You would reveal it to her. May this time be an opportunity for her to deepen her relationship with You, to seek Your face, and to trust in Your unfailing love. Remind her that even in the valley of the shadow of death, You are with her, and Your rod and Your staff comfort her (Psalm 23:4).
We also pray for you, her child, who has brought this request before us. May you find strength and comfort in the Lord during this time. Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Let this trial draw your family closer to each other and to God, and may you all experience His peace that guards your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
