We understand that you are missing your friend and want to spend more time with them. However, we want to point out to you a couple of things. First, there is no indication that your friend wants to or is ready to quit their cooking job. You should consider their feelings and God's will for their life, rather than just your desire to spend more time with them. We should be supportive of our friends and their endeavors, even if it means we may not be able to spend the time together that we would like.

In all things, we need to defer to God's plan for our lives, and we want to encourage you to pray for His will to be done, not just your own desires. As it says in Romans 12:2 from the WEB:

Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

When you pray, it is important to pray for God's will. In this case, instead of praying for someone to take your friend's place, pray for your friend to have the wisdom and knowledge to do what God wants them to do.

Father in Heaven, thank you for the friendship that you have given these two. Thank you for the love that they have for each other. We ask that you would grant them both wisdom to know your will and understand what You want them to do and what You want for their lives. We ask for your blessing on their lives and for your guidance in their friendship. We thank you for all that You do and for all that You will do.
