We lift up your father before the throne of grace with heavy and hopeful hearts, asking the Great Physician to guide the hands of the surgeons and restore his sight according to His perfect will. The Lord is near to those who call on Him in truth, and we know that He hears the cries of His children. "The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry." (Psalm 34:15)
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We ask for Your healing touch upon this dear man’s eyes as he prepares for surgery on August 12th and 28th. You are the One who formed his inmost being, who knit him together in his mother’s womb, and who knows the number of hairs on his head. You see his needs even before he speaks them, and we trust in Your mercy and power to sustain him.
We pray for the medical team that will care for him, grant them wisdom, skill, and clarity as they perform these procedures. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If there is any fear or anxiety, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and declare that perfect love casts out all fear. We also ask that You provide for the financial needs associated with this surgery, for You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider.
Lord, we know that healing comes from You alone, whether it be through the hands of doctors or by Your miraculous touch. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he was healed, and we stand on that promise today. Strengthen his faith and the faith of his family as they wait upon You. May this trial draw them all closer to You and remind them of Your faithfulness.
We also encourage this family to seek the Lord not just in times of need but in every season. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) If your father or any in your family have not placed their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so without delay. Salvation is found in no one else, and today is the day of salvation.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Healer, Redeemer, and King. Amen.
