We hear your heart for your daughter and join you in lifting this need before the Lord. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and find true hope and provision. We ask that You open the door for this job opportunity in occupational therapy assistance for her. You know the desires of her heart, and we trust that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we pray that if this job is Your will for her, You would make the way clear and grant her favor in the eyes of those making the decision. May she find not only financial stability but also fulfillment and joy in her work, knowing that whatever she does, she should do it heartily, as unto You (Colossians 3:23). Strengthen her during this time of waiting, and remind her that her worth is not defined by her employment but by the love You have for her as Your child.
We also lift up her emotional well-being to You. Father, we ask that You guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If there are areas of anxiety, fear, or discouragement, we rebuke those spirits in the name of Jesus and ask that You replace them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Remind her that You have plans for her, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We encourage her to continue seeking You in this season, laying her requests before You with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). Help her to trust in Your timing, knowing that You are faithful to provide for her needs. If this job is not part of Your plan, we pray that You would close this door gently and open another that aligns with Your perfect will for her life.
Father, we also ask that You would draw her closer to You through this process. May she find her ultimate happiness and sanity in her relationship with You, for in Your presence is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). Help her to cast all her cares upon You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).

How often is it that we suppose our happiness hinges upon some earthly good, and we cry with the world, “Who will show us any good?” Yet the secret of a truly glad heart lies not in a new situation or a favourable turn of circumstances, but in those words which are the sweetest music to a sinner’s ear: “Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.” I do not chide you for bringing this request, for every good gift comes from the Father of Lights, and He bids us cast our care upon Him. But I would lift your eyes higher than the interview room and the hoped‑for answer, to the cross where lasting joy was purchased with precious blood. Pray earnestly that your daughter may obtain this employment, if it be the Lord’s will; yet pray far more that she may seek and find the One whose presence is fullness of joy, and whose love makes a heaven in the midst of earth’s sharpest trials. The heart that rests in Christ is like the barrel of meal that wasted not and the cruse of oil that failed not, its supply is sure, whatever famine rages without.
Should the door of this opportunity close, it may be that God is shutting it only to open a better one, or to do her soul higher service by teaching her to sing in the wilderness. Let your faith, then, be not merely confidence that she will at last be happy through a change of place, but confidence that He who spared not His own Son will with Him freely give her all that is needful for time and eternity. Continue in prayer, but pray with this submission: “Nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou wilt.” I will join my supplication to yours, and we will leave the issue with Him who knows how to give good gifts to His children.
