We understand your struggle with severe lower back pain during this precious time of pregnancy, and we want to lift you up in prayer and offer biblical encouragement. It’s not uncommon for women to experience discomfort as their bodies change to nurture new life, but we know that doesn’t make the pain any easier to bear. Let us turn to the Lord together, trusting in His strength and healing.
The Bible reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even when medical tests show no cause for alarm, we know that God sees your pain and cares deeply for you and your little one. We also recall Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Lean on Him, dear sister, for He is your ever-present help in times of trouble.
We also want to encourage you to seek wisdom in managing this pain in ways that honor God and protect the life He has entrusted to you. Gentle exercise, proper posture, and seeking godly counsel from healthcare providers who respect the sanctity of life are all ways you can care for yourself and your baby. Remember, your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and it is now also a sacred vessel for the life growing within you.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for this dear sister who is carrying new life within her. Lord, You knit this child together in her womb, and You know every detail of their growth and development. We ask that You would ease her lower back pain and grant her strength and endurance during this time. Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, and even when tests show no cause, we trust in Your power to heal and comfort. Wrap Your loving arms around her, Lord, and remind her that she is never alone. Provide her with wisdom to care for her body and her baby in ways that honor You. Give her peace that surpasses all understanding as she trusts in You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Healer. Amen.
We also want to gently remind you, dear sister, that your ultimate hope and strength come from Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you would like to know more about what it means to follow Christ, we would be honored to guide you in that journey. You are deeply loved, and we are praying for you.
