Father, today I come before You, professing my absolute belief that there is power in prayer. I pray that You will be ever present in Karen's life - be like the voice on the other end of the phone that tells us someone is there, and listening. God, I know You are in a personal relationship with each of us, just waiting for us to give everything over to You. I believe Karen is there, Father - all in and ready for Your will to be done. Be Karen's point of reference in the midst of all the confusions of her daily life, the steadfast anchor she needs rather than the incomplete, fragile inconstancies of ourselves. Give her the power and ability to be centered, anchored in faith and rooted in the Truth, truth which is stronger and deeper than the day-to-day truths we struggle with. Help her heart and mind focus on Your eternal truths that never change, unlike the fickle truths of human knowledge and human nature. Constantly renew her perspective - let prayer open her eyes, extend her horizon, shed light into the darkness of her fear and sorrow. Magnify her hope and joy, allow her to see her life from Your perspective and see the work and costs of growing in relationships. Dear Father, I know the power of prayer is real and tangible - I feel it, I know it, I depend on it, and although it is a free gift, we need to do our part as well. May we always seek You first in prayer, and through our prayers, allow You to empower us and give us strength. Be in every moment of Karen's life and bring her to a clear vision of Your path and purpose for her. Accept this prayer as my way of touching and agreeing with her seeking of Your wisdom, direction and mercy. Thank you for the blessings You bestow - may Your name be glorified in all the earth.
