For Help and comfort from God

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray as I am about to help a schoolboy in need of help and coaching, I am trying hard and doing my best to help him, but his mother is gradually becoming more authoritative and demanding, after cancelling our last two lessons... May she be more patient and realistic, and may her son be open, concentrate on the studies and make progress. May I get some earning as today is the last day of the month I can declare my income on line. May God also help me with my uncle needing for cleaning right afterwards. In Jesus Name, Him who taught us to be servants of others, just like Him. Amen. Thanks.

Where’s Mother?
Every mother watches her child’s life battle and expects to hear whether they chose right or wrong.
Exasperating Comforters
True comfort comes from shared pain and quiet faith, so offer presence not words to those who grieve.
Hadassah
True faith thrives despite hardship and calls you to trust God in every trial.
We join you together in prayer in Jesus' name and we thank you for your servant's heart that desires to help this schoolboy and to honor God in your work.

We see your diligence and your care as you try hard to coach this young student and we understand how discouraging it can be when lessons are cancelled and when a parent becomes more demanding and authoritative. We pray that God will give you wisdom and patience in this situation and that He will grant you His peace as you serve. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand Philippians 4:5 and we are reminded to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger James 1:19.

We pray for this mother, that the Lord would soften her heart and grant her patience, understanding and realistic expectations. We pray that she would show grace and encouragement toward her son and toward you, remembering the word that says Fathers, don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord Ephesians 6:4. May she be filled with the fruit of the Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control Galatians 5:22-23.

We pray for this boy, that God would open his heart and mind to learning, that he would be able to concentrate, to be diligent and to make good progress. We ask that the Lord would give him a willing spirit and a desire to grow in knowledge and understanding, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.

We also lift up your need for provision as this is the last day to declare your income online. We know that financial pressures can bring anxiety, but we are encouraged that we should in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We pray that God will provide for you according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and that He will bless the honest work of your hands and allow you to receive what you need.

We pray too for strength and grace as you go to help your uncle with cleaning right afterwards. We thank God for your willingness to serve others just as our Lord Jesus taught us, for even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many Mark 10:45. Whoever is greater among you will be your servant Matthew 23:11. May the Lord renew your strength and not let you grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don't give up Galatians 6:9.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, Him who taught us to be servants of others just like Him, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and through Him we have access to the Father.

Father, we ask You to be our brother's comfort and help, for You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 and the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Grant him peace, provide for his needs, bless his service to this boy and his family, and bless his service to his uncle. Let all be done for Your glory and let this boy grow and learn. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We hear how hard you are trying to serve this boy well, and how heavy it feels to be pulled in several directions at once today.

Wanting to coach him faithfully while navigating his mother's changing expectations, meeting a financial deadline, and then helping your uncle is a lot to carry in one day. It's understandable to feel stretched when you want to do good work but don't have full control over the schedule or the response.

Since today is the last day to declare your income online, we would gently encourage you to give that task first priority this morning so it doesn't add extra worry later. A clear window for it can free you to be more present for the lesson and for your uncle afterwards.

With the mother and son, a brief, kind message beforehand can sometimes ease tension, confirming the time, what you hope to cover, and what you need from them to make the lesson fruitful. It sets a calm boundary without confrontation and keeps the focus on helping the boy concentrate and make steady progress.

We are praying with you and thank God for your servant heart.

Father, we lift our brother to You today. Give him wisdom and peace as he coaches this student, patience in his dealings with the boy's mother, and help for the boy to be open and attentive. Provide for his financial needs and give him strength and grace as he helps his uncle. Guide his steps today and let him feel Your nearness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you. We understand the pressure you feel as you seek to serve this schoolboy faithfully in his studies, while also navigating the increasing demands of his mother and the disappointment of cancelled lessons, together with the practical cares of providing for your own needs as the month closes and of helping your uncle.

We pray that the God who comforts His people will draw near to you now. He has given us this grand old Book, the Bible, as a storehouse of comfort for our ever recurring sorrows, and we pray you will find there a harbor where your anchor may hold fast. When temporal affairs press upon us and we are tempted to fear, we are taught to say with David, What time I am afraid, I will trust in You. The Lord knows your desire to do good and to be a servant to others as Christ Himself taught us, who discharged the whole debt for His people and calls us to labor for Him in whom we trust.

We ask the Lord to grant patience and a realistic spirit to this mother, and to make her son open and attentive, that he may concentrate upon his studies and make true progress. We ask Him to provide for your daily needs and to prosper the honest work of your hands, that your income may be supplied as you declare it. We ask also for strength and grace as you help your uncle with the cleaning that follows.

May the Spirit of God work in you to will and to do according to His good pleasure, and may you know that He is true and will not fail those who rest upon His promise through Jesus Christ alone. We have been in strange places and in very peculiar conditions, but we have never been thrown where we could not find in God all we needed, and we pray you will prove this again.

We commend you to Him who rejoices over His people and blesses them with His whole heart, trusting that He will give you wisdom for each lesson, peace in each trial, and joy in serving others for His sake. May the blood of Jesus Christ keep you, and may His Word instruct and sustain you.

In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Saviour we pray, Amen.

We join you in prayer before God who sees your desire to serve and to help this boy in the spirit of Christ who came not to be served but to serve.

We thank God for your willing heart and for the work you have taken up. To teach with patience and care is itself a service to the Lord, and He does not overlook it. As Scripture reminds us, patience is not shown in two or three days but over much time, and it is formed through perseverance and even through difficulties which God permits for our discipline and not for our defeat. Your labor, though hindered by cancellations and by the pressure you feel from the mother, can become a training in this endurance which produces proven character and then hope.

We pray that the God of patience and consolation will grant calm and understanding between you, the mother, and her son. May He soften what is demanding into what is reasonable, and grant her patience and a realistic expectation for her son. May He open the boy's heart and mind to concentrate, to receive what you offer, and to make steady progress in his studies. May He also give you wisdom to speak and to act with gentleness and firmness, loving the child as you would have others love your own, according to Christ Jesus.

We also bring before the Lord your practical needs. You have asked for provision as the month closes and you declare your income. We ask the Father who knows our daily needs to provide for you through this work, to establish the fruit of your hands, and to give you peace as you trust His provision. For your uncle and the cleaning that follows, we ask for strength and time and health to do what is needed with a thankful spirit. For nothing is so acceptable to God as a thankful heart in all circumstances, whether in abundance or in want.

May the Lord keep you watching with perseverance and supplication, not making provision for anxiety but trusting Him for what lies ahead. May He who gives hope grant you confidence in things to come, and may He keep your spirit by His grace.

We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only hope and Savior, who lives and intercedes for us. Amen.
