Consolation in the Furnace
Christ is with you in every trial, turning your suffering into joy and your loss into gain.
The Sweet Harp of Consolation
God’s presence with you in every trial means you need not fear, for He sustains and comforts you always.
The Dangers of Pessimism
Pessimism distorts reality and demands we reject its false despair for a hopeful trust in goodness.
We hear your cry for help and we join together with you before the throne of grace to lift up this heavy burden of anxiety that you are suffering. We know how difficult and overwhelming anxiety can feel, how it can affect the mind, the body, and the spirit, and we want you to know that you are not alone and that God sees your struggle and deeply cares for you.

The word of God speaks directly to the anxious heart. We are reminded in Phil 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And again in 1 Pet 5:7 we are told to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Our Father does not want you to carry this weight alone. He invites you to cast every fear and every anxious thought upon Him. In Isa 41:10 He says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Jesus Himself comforts us in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. We also cling to 2 Tim 1:7, For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is suffering from anxiety. Lord, You know the depth of this struggle and how difficult it is to manage. We ask that You would pour out Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding upon this heart and mind. Guard this heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray that You would calm the racing thoughts, quiet the fears, and bring rest to the body and soul. Help this dear one to feel Your presence, to know that You are with them, that You will strengthen and uphold them with Your righteous right hand. Teach them to cast every worry upon You daily, trusting that You care deeply. Fill them with Your spirit of power and love and self-control, and drive out all fear. Let Your healing and comforting hand be upon their health, and lead them into Your rest. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our hope and healer, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every anxious thought to the Lord in prayer throughout the day, even with simple, honest words, and to saturate your mind with His promises. Meditating on scripture, resting, and seeking godly counsel and wise medical care when needed can be part of God's provision for healing, and we encourage you not to hesitate to seek help from a trusted pastor, counselor, or medical professional as you walk through this.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true peace and salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name, for everyone who calls on Him will be saved and will find a peace that the world cannot give. We are standing with you in prayer, trusting that God will bring His comfort, strength, and healing as you seek Him.

Thank you for letting us know what you have been carrying. When anxiety feels so difficult to manage it can be exhausting and lonely, and we are grateful you reached out so we can stand with you in prayer.

What you are describing is very real. Anxiety can affect the whole person at once, thoughts and feelings and body together, with tension, a racing heart, trouble sleeping, and a sense of dread that is hard to shake. It is not a sign you have failed, and you do not have to push through it on your own.

Alongside prayer, we gently encourage you to reach out to a trusted doctor or counselor who can listen well and help you think through support options. If you have a pastor or a close friend or family member you trust, letting one person know how you are doing right now can also make the load a little lighter to carry.

We are holding you before the Lord and will keep praying for you in the days ahead.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. You see how heavy this anxiety has been and how hard it is to manage. Draw near with Your peace and presence, give wisdom and kindness to those who can offer help, and guide each next step. Grant rest, strength for today, and steady hope. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord with tender care, and we join you in prayer for this heavy burden of anxiety which you find so difficult to manage.

There is a word of promise that has comforted many troubled hearts, that the Lord will keep him in perfect peace, peace peace, whose mind is stayed upon Him, because he trusts in Him. This perfect peace is not distant or reserved for another world, but is a present possession to be enjoyed even in the ordinary trials and thronging duties of this life. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus is rest. When sorrows surge round and the mind is pressed, that peace still gleams with a heavenly light even in the midnight of care.

We have learned that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. It is the mind which is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. To tell yourself over and over of your fears, when that anxiety is confined within yourself, brings no good. But to stay the mind upon Christ, to trust Him and to bear your sorrow with Him, is the way to enjoy that peace which passes all understanding. It is that touch of personal faith which brings peace to the soul. Being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and without that peace there can be no true enjoyment of life.

There is healing also in Christ, for He is the Tree of Life and there grows no healing herb but this one plant of renown. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. With His stripes we are healed, for He took our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself. This is the one great cure all. Until the glory life begins, the abiding power of those healing leaves keeps the soul of the believer in perpetual health, and His salvation will at last perfectly heal the body also. We are on our way to eternal health, and the life within us which Christ has given shall be perfect forever.

We pray for you now, that the Lord who heals the broken heart and binds up its wounds would breathe into your soul at this very moment a peace with God which steadies the mind and calms the spirit. May He lift this weight of anxiety, keep your thoughts stayed upon Himself, and grant you rest in His keeping. May you know inward peace stealing over your soul as you look to Him who will in no wise cast out any that come to Him, and may His gracious presence be your health and your comfort day by day. May He grant you wisdom to seek such help as you need, and above all to find your refuge in Christ, your Physician and your Peace.

Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and trust Him to keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him.

We have received your prayer request and we are lifting you up before the Lord in your struggle with anxiety. We understand how heavy and difficult this burden can feel, and we want you to know that you are not alone and that God sees your affliction with compassion.

Scripture teaches us that God is both able to heal and willing to give peace to troubled hearts. As He showed His power by healing the whole person at once, so He is able to bring restoration to body and mind. He also cares for our bodily health and our daily needs, and He invites us to bring every anxiety to Him, for He cares for us. The peace He gives is not like the fleeting anxieties of this world, but a steady peace that can guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We are praying for you now:

Father in heaven, we thank You that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that we can come to You through Him. We lift up this dear one who is suffering with anxiety. You know the weight they carry and how difficult it is to manage each day. We ask that You would grant healing and health according to Your will, calm their anxious thoughts, and fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding. Help them to cast all their cares on You, to rest in Your love, and to find strength for each day. Guide them to wise and godly support, whether through pastors, trusted believers, or medical help where needed, and remind them daily of Your presence and mercy. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Please continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, and do not hesitate to reach out for personal support from a pastor or counselor and from medical professionals if your anxiety continues to be overwhelming. We will continue to keep you in prayer.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
