Christ alone heals the spiritually broken when all human efforts fail.
We have heard your request and we are bringing you and your sister before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

We are moved by your care for your sister as she prepares to go on tour with a sore throat, and we also lift up your own need for restful sleep and a safe journey with your brother to your hometown. Our God cares about every detail of our lives, including our physical health and our travels.

We believe that God is our healer. Scripture reminds us that He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases, Psalm 103:2-3, and that He says I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17. We also know that He watches over our coming and going, for Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more, Psalm 121:8. When anxiety or physical discomfort keeps us from sleep, we are encouraged to bring everything to Him, for in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. He gives sleep to his beloved, Psalm 127:2.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and our prayers are heard. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to call upon His name today.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this dear sister who is suffering with a sore throat. We ask You to touch her throat and bring complete healing, to take away all pain, inflammation and infection, so that she can go on her tour without any problem and with joy and strength. Lay Your healing hand upon her and restore her health fully.

We also lift up the one who sent this request. Lord, You know the discomfort of gas and sleeplessness last night. We ask You to calm the stomach, bring relief from gas and grant deep, peaceful and uninterrupted sleep tonight. Let the body rest and be refreshed. We ask for Your protection and grace over the journey tomorrow with his brother to his hometown. Keep them safe on the way, free from any health issues or harm, and bring them to their destination in peace. Let Your presence go with them.

We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, trusting in Your love and mercy. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord for your healing and your sister's healing, to rest in His peace tonight, and to commit your journey to Him. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding, Proverbs 3:5. He is faithful to care for you.

We appreciate you sharing this with us. It's clear you care deeply for your sister and want her tour to go well, and it makes sense you would also want rest and a smooth trip for yourself after a rough night without sleep.

We are praying for your sister and her sore throat, that it would ease and she would be comfortable and well as she goes on tour on ###. We are also praying for you, for settled sleep tonight without stomach discomfort, and for a safe and healthy journey tomorrow with your brother to your hometown.

Travel can feel harder when you are tired or worried about health, so we understand wanting to feel well and rested before you go. These small physical needs matter to God and they matter to us.

If the sore throat lingers or you continue to have gas and trouble sleeping, especially with travel ahead, we encourage you to check in with a doctor or clinic for care alongside prayer, just to be wise and have peace of mind.

We are with you in this and trusting God with both journeys.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift up this sister's throat to You and ask for Your healing and comfort for her, and we lift up our friend for restful sleep tonight and for Your protection over tomorrow's travel. Give them both health and peace as they go, and let them feel Your care with them. Amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we have remembered you and your sister before the throne of grace.

There is a Great Physician whose least touch brings healing, for the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the smallest thing about Christ has virtue in it to restore. We are told that He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, and He who pardons sin is He who heals disease, for healing and forgiveness flow together from the same pierced hand. We will entreat Him that He will lay His hand upon your sister and cool and heal her sore throat, that she may go upon her tour without pain or hindrance, and feel His restoring mercy with every breath.

And for yourself, we know how wearisome is a night without sleep, when the body is disquieted. It is written, So he giveth his beloved sleep. This is not only the sleep of the body, but the sleep of contentment and of security which God gives to His own, when they nestle under His wings as chickens under the hen. He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. May the Lord grant you this night a soft and refreshing sleep, quiet the inward distress of which you speak, and cause you to lie down in peace, for He can give rest even when the frame is weak.

We will pray also for your journey tomorrow with your brother in your hometown. How safe are they who are embarked in the good ship of Providence with Christ as Captain, who has foreknown and foreordained every wind and wave. We will ask the Lord to keep you in your going out and coming in, to preserve you from all sickness by the way, and to bring you home in safety, for not one of His little ones shall be suffered to perish.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this sister whose throat is sore, touch her and heal her, and make her fit for the way set before her. Look upon Thy servant who has been wakeful and afflicted, give now relief from bodily trouble and bestow that sleep which Thou givest to Thy beloved. Go with these travelers on the morrow, spread Thy wings over them for a safe shelter, and keep them from all harm, that they may return with thanksgiving. Above all grant pardon and healing through the blood of Jesus to every soul that seeks Thee, and let Thy name have all the praise. Amen.

We have received your prayer request and we join you with thanksgiving in bringing these needs before the Lord.

We pray for your sister and her sore throat. We ask the Lord, who is the true physician of soul and body, to bring healing to her, to ease her pain and restore her voice and strength, so that she may travel on her tour without difficulty and with joy. We pray that God would guard her health on the way and keep her from any further sickness.

We also pray for you. We bring before God your troubled sleep and the discomfort in your stomach, and your journey tomorrow with your brother in your hometown. We ask that He would grant you a peaceful night of sleep tonight, free from pain and distress, and that He would calm your body and give you rest. As it is written, He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He keeps our feet from being moved when we trust in Him. We pray that He would keep you and your brother on your journey, that your travel would be safe and without health trouble, and that you would arrive in good strength.

We encourage you to continue to watch over your body as well as your soul, to seek rest and moderation, and to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. May the Lord grant you both healing and peace, and keep you in His gracious care.

In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.
