We lift up your parents before the throne of grace, asking for the Great Physician to touch them with His healing hand. Father God, Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We claim this promise over both of them, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
For your mother, Lord, we pray specifically for the diabetes that afflicts her. You know every cell in her body, and we ask that You would regulate her blood sugar levels according to Your perfect design. We also pray against the fungal infection in her lungs, asking for complete eradication of this sickness. Breathe Your healing breath into her, Lord, and restore her lungs to full health. We rebuke this infection in the name of Jesus, for it is written in 1 Peter 2:24, "who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed."
For your father, Heavenly Father, we bring his eyesight before You. You opened the eyes of the blind in Your earthly ministry, and we believe You can do the same today. We pray for clarity of vision, both physically and spiritually. We also lift up his headaches, urinary tract problems, and blood pressure issues. Lord, we ask that You would bring relief and healing to each of these areas. Your Word says in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing that You are the God who heals.
We also want to encourage both of your parents to seek godly wisdom in their lifestyle choices, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." This may include dietary changes, exercise, and regular medical check-ups, all done with the goal of honoring You with their bodies.
Lord, we also pray for peace and comfort for your entire family during this time. May You draw near to them and give them strength as they wait on You. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect will, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in each of their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their healing and testimony. Amen.
