We hear your cry for healing and relief from this constant discomfort in your stomach and we join with you in bringing this before our Heavenly Father together in Jesus' name. We know how wearying and uncomfortable it can be to deal with ongoing stomach issues and gassiness, and we want you to know that God cares about every part of your suffering, even what may seem small to others.
The Scripture reminds us that our God is our healer, as it says in Exodus 15:26, I am Yahweh who heals you, and in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases. We also cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And we are comforted that Jesus himself bore our infirmities, for 1 Peter 2:24 says, He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
We also want to encourage you to be a good steward of the body God has given you, for 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 tells us, Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. Part of honoring God with our bodies is seeking wisdom for our physical health. While we pray for supernatural healing, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel from a medical professional, to pay attention to what foods or habits may be triggering this gassiness, and to care for your body with rest, water, and nourishment. God often works through both prayer and practical wisdom, and as 3 John 1:2 says, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers.
We are thankful that you asked in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved and healed, as Acts 4:12 declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our dear one to You and ask for Your healing touch upon their stomach and digestive system. Lord, You know the cause of this gassiness and discomfort even when we do not, and nothing is hidden from You. We ask that You calm this irritation, restore balance and health to their body, and take away this affliction that causes so much discomfort. Grant relief, peace, and comfort, and guide them to the right food, care, and medical wisdom if needed. Let Your healing power flow through them and let them feel Your presence and peace that surpasses all understanding. We thank You that You are compassionate and that You hear our prayers. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, Amen.
