For healing and deliverance

I have prayed for you after reading your honest request for healing and deliverance from this heaviness, tiredness and constant sleepiness.

I understand how discouraging it is to feel lazy and without energy when you want to be strong and alert. Scripture speaks directly to that feeling of weakness. The Lord is described as the light and salvation of His people and the strength of their lives, so there is no need to live in fear. He is also called our shield and our help when our hearts trust in Him, and He promises to give strength to His people and to bless them with peace. That strength is not something we manufacture on our own. It is His strength given to us as we look to Him and let His Word become our portion.

You asked for deliverance, and it is right to ask God for it now. Waiting on God is often very hard, and we are quick to feel that we have waited long enough and should take matters into our own hands. But our expectation for help is to be from Him alone. He is our rock, our salvation, our defense and our refuge. When we feel trapped by our own weakness, as David did when he was pursued by his enemies, we can remember that God is our fortress, our deliverer and our high tower. He delivers not by our own power but by the strength of His hand, just as He brought His people out of bondage and gave them a song of deliverance. You can trust that the hands that hold you are being held by Him, and He is able to keep you.

You also asked for healing and for energy. I do believe God heals, and I have learned that He does not work in only one pattern. Sometimes healing is instant, sometimes it is gradual through the natural processes He Himself created in our bodies, and sometimes His healing touches our minds and emotions first. All true healing is from Him, whether it comes in a moment or step by step. We do not always understand why healing comes quickly for one person and more slowly for another, but we can bring every need to Him in prayer with faith, knowing that He bore our infirmities and that prayer itself is a place of great strength where we are lifted from defeat to confidence and victory.

So I encourage you to keep bringing this very need to the Lord each day in prayer, and to stay in His Word, because His Word is our strength and stay in times of trial. Prayer is not just asking for strength, it is entering into the presence of the One who is your strength.

Let me pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus I lift up this dear one who feels tired, sleepy and without strength. You see this heaviness and You know the desire for energy and renewal. Be their light, their salvation and the strength of their life. Be their shield and help as they trust in You. Give them Your strength and bless them with Your peace. Be their rock, their refuge and their deliverer. Touch their body and mind with Your healing, whether in a moment or through Your gracious gradual work, and renew their energy for each day. Teach them to wait on You and to find their strength in You, and to know Your keeping hand upon them. May Your Word strengthen them and may they rejoice in Your help. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
