For guy as odd legalist

A guy, Bill,  I know [ gives me a ride to church because I cannot drive , too far to walk ] seems he is being legalistic and tendencies to speak of how exact each little thing a Christian does including watching classic movies or scifi  or keeping or buying little things that it becomes sin 'legalistically' and that the idea you must be doing a certain thing or on a mission and no time to relax when though how you live in your 'home' like when you are bored ( so he thinks this must be carefully regulated so one minute is not spent on good relaxing like control of each moment / what this does is suggests God will punish you if you enjoy yourself at all . That we are to be worn out 'working' to the bone , but no breaking off and is insinuated / I do not understand why people see it this way ??

They claim God is blessing them by throwing forward their own conceived 'rules' at others . This keeping of conceived rules appearing spiritual puts a dark cloud over others lives if they swallow that persons said ideals of daily walking as a Christian / The guy talks this way in his car to oneself and if to create his own following , but is popular with that church so appears he has authority to say how things will be . He said that the fellowship at the church when after service people stay and talk is only faulty socializing and needs to go ,  BUT biblically fellowship is vital today  . As if he wants to change that church which if one hears that from him it can make one nervous .

I want protection from his traps of making one agree privately with him / I know the bible well and can see he is off , but is my only provided ride now in evening services .If it is well pray I can use my knowledge of scripture I already have to confidently show him his errors.

Father, I thank you that Bill is being drawn closer to you and that he is becoming a man after your own heart!  I thank you that he is seeing you in a different light....for legalism he is becoming compassionate and caring and that religious spirit is now defeated as Asker shows forth the Love of God by blessing him and praying for him in spite of what has gone on previously!  Bill is becoming so enamored with Jesus that his only desire is to be a blessing to everyone he meets including Asker as they ride together to church!  He even enjoys fellowship and it is causing him to be refreshed by the laughter and joy of the others who desire to bless him in Jesus Mighty Name.  Amen!

Fight for me like You fought for the Israelites when they walked in obedience to Your Word. Protect and keep me safe like You did for Daniel. Honor me like You honored Mary. Heal me when I stand in need of healing like You healed the woman with the issue of blood. Use me like You used Paul to speak, teach, and preach Your Word.

God teach me how to pray like Moses and Elijah. Teach me how to fast like Daniel. Teach me how to respect You like Joseph. Teach me how to trust You like Noah. Teach me how to Love You like John. Teach me how to obey You like Your Son, Jesus Christ. Teach me Your Word like You dictated Your Word to the Prophets, Kings, Priest, and Apostles who wrote the Bible. Teach me how to examine the Scriptures like the Bereans. And teach me how to seek Your face and not just Your hands with all my heart and soul. God all that I have asked You to do for me in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of this prayer, and all those I love and care about. Do this for us all Lord Jesus. Amen, So Be It, and It Is So in Jesus’ Name.
