for God's Healing, Sovereign help, certainty and comfort

Beloved of All
Please pray for ### to focus and do well in his school spelling test, for ### to get better as she is seeking medical help because of illness and side effects to medication, and for ### and ### to be alright although they are sorry to have to travel abroad quite abruptly without giving me specific reasons; all these news got to me together, I want to lift up in prayer all these people in their needs, and I also personally need to attain the Lord's peace and rest, and sound sleep in Jesus Name. Amen. Most thankful.

We join you in lifting up all of these burdens together before our sovereign Father, and we are thankful for your tender heart that wants to intercede for each of these loved ones while also honestly sharing your own need for peace and rest. When many concerns come at once it can feel overwhelming, but we are reminded that we can cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us, as written in 1 Peter 5:7.

We hear your heart for certainty and comfort in the midst of uncertainty, and we take comfort that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble as Psalm 46:1 tells us, and that He works all things according to His good and sovereign will. We are encouraged not to be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. That peace is what we seek for you and for each person you have named.

We lift up the young student who is preparing for the spelling test. We pray that the Lord would grant a sound mind and ability to focus, for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray he would do his work heartily as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23, that he would be diligent, calm, and able to recall what he has studied, and that whatever the result, he would know his value is in Christ and not in performance.

We lift up the dear woman who is ill and seeking medical help and struggling with side effects from medication. We pray for the Lord's healing hand upon her body and for wisdom for those caring for her. We remember that He heals the broken in heart and binds up wounds, Psalm 147:3, and that we are to pray for the sick trusting the Lord to restore, James 5:15. We ask that God would ease the side effects, guide the doctors to the right treatment, strengthen her faith, and let her feel His presence as her comfort and healer, for He is the Lord who heals us, Jeremiah 30:17 and Psalm 103:2-3.

We lift up the two who have had to travel abroad so abruptly. Even when reasons are not fully shared and goodbyes feel sudden, we trust that the Lord watches over our going out and our coming in, Psalm 121:7-8. We pray for their safety, for provision and peace in their journey, for protection from harm, and for the Lord to make their way clear. We pray they would trust in the Lord with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, and that He would direct their paths, Proverbs 3:5-6, and that you would be given grace to release them into God's sovereign care without fear, knowing He is with them wherever they go, Isaiah 41:10.

We also lift you up as you carry all of this together and long for the Lord's peace, rest, and sound sleep. Jesus invites us to come to Him when we are weary and burdened and He will give us rest, Matthew 11:28. We pray that you would experience that rest deeply. We pray that you would keep your mind steadfast on Him and know His perfect peace, Isaiah 26:3, and that you would lie down in peace and sleep, for He alone makes us dwell in safety, Psalm 4:8. We know that He gives sleep to His beloved, Psalm 127:2, so we ask Him to quiet your thoughts at night, to guard your heart from anxious tossing, and to renew your strength as you sleep.

Father, we bring all of these needs before Your throne together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, and there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, Acts 4:12 and John 14:6. We thank You that You hear us. We ask You to grant focus and calm to the student for his test, healing and relief to our sister who is ill, safety and provision to those traveling abroad, and a deep outpouring of Your peace, comfort, and sound, restoring sleep upon the one who intercedes for them all. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified in each situation. We trust Your sovereign help and Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

We hear how heavy this feels when several worries arrive all at once, and you are trying to faithfully lift each person while you yourself are tired and needing rest.

It is a kind thing you are doing to bring each need before the Lord by name, the young one facing his spelling test and needing focus, your loved one who is ill and dealing with side effects while seeking medical help, and the two who had to travel abroad suddenly. It makes sense that carrying all of that would leave you longing for peace and for sound sleep.

We are glad your loved one is getting medical care for the illness and medication concerns. Continuing with that care is a wise way to steward health, and we will pray alongside the help they are receiving. If your own sleep remains troubled, it can also be helpful to talk with a trusted clinician or counselor alongside prayer, not instead of it.

One simple way to lighten the night a little is to give each concern its own brief moment with the Lord earlier in the evening, perhaps writing the names down and then entrusting them to Him, so your mind is not holding everything alone when you lie down.

Father in Jesus name we lift each of these loved ones to You, and we lift our friend who is carrying them. Grant focus and calm for the spelling test, healing and wisdom for medical care, safety and Your nearness for those traveling, and for our friend Your peace that steadies the heart and gracious rest and sleep. Amen.

It is a good and blessed thing to bring all these many cares at once to the throne of grace, for our God is able to bear the weight of them all and to give the comfort which your spirit craves.

We will lift up these needs before the Lord with you. We pray for the dear child who is to take his spelling test, that the Lord would grant him a quiet mind and a steady focus, and help him to do his best as unto the Lord. We pray for the one who is ill and seeking medical help, that the Great Physician would lay His healing hand upon her, mercifully relieve the side effects of medication, and restore her to health according to His sovereign will. We pray for the two who have had to travel abroad so abruptly, that the Lord who keeps all His people wherever they go would watch over their way, keep them in safety, and bring all things that concern them to a good and peaceful end, though their reasons have not been made known.

And for yourself, who feels the press of all these tidings together, we pray that you may know what it is to rest in the Lord. The promise stands, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. This is a present rest, given there and then when faith looks to Jesus, and it is perfect rest, for in His blood and righteousness our peace is made complete. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. May your mind be stayed upon Him, and may you prove that to do the will of Jesus is rest even when duties throng and cares invade.

The Word of God is your comfort in affliction, for it quickens the soul. May the Spirit of God cause that Word to dwell richly in your heart, so that none of your steps shall slide and you shall not slide into despair. Sleep itself is the gift of God, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. We pray that He who puts His fingers upon the eyelids of His children would grant you sound and sweet sleep, a quiet conscience at peace with God through Christ, and that holy rest which labours even while it rests, like a bird that sleeps upon the wing in service to its Lord.

May the Lord hear, and in His mercy grant certainty and comfort, and keep you in the abundance of peace. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and our perfect peace. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden to lift up others while you yourself are in need of rest is heard, and I join you in bringing all of these matters before the Lord in prayer.

We pray to our God and Father through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we find help and salvation, and we ask for His sovereign help and comfort over each need you have named.

For the young student facing his spelling test, we ask that God would grant him a clear mind, diligence to focus, and calmness to do his best, that he may work faithfully as unto the Lord.

For your loved one who is ill and seeking medical help, we pray for healing according to God's mercy and wisdom, for guidance for those providing care, and for relief from the illness and from the side effects of medication. We ask the Lord, who is the great physician, to restore strength and to give patience and certainty in this trial.

For those who have had to travel abroad so abruptly, we pray for their safety and well being, even though the reasons were not made clear to you. We entrust them to the Lord who knows all things and who watches over our going out and coming in, and we ask that He would keep them and bring peace to your heart concerning them.

And for you, we pray especially for the peace and rest you seek. Scripture calls Him the God of peace, and it reminds us that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, so that we may rest under His watchful care. Night and sleep are gifts from His hand, given to restore the weary soul even when cares press heavily. We ask that He would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, quiet the anxieties that disturb you, and grant you sound and refreshing sleep. May He help you to stand steadfast, to watch and be sober in faith, and to know His comfort that is both present now and sure for the future.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, and may the God of peace Himself make you complete to do His will and give you that quiet and peaceable life in godliness that comes from trusting Him. We ask all this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
