We join you in seeking the Lord’s favor and guidance for your upcoming interviews, trusting that He will open doors no man can shut and grant you wisdom, clarity, and confidence as you step into this opportunity. It is good that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. As Scripture declares, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me"* (Philippians 4:13, WEB), and we claim this promise over your situation.
The Lord knows your needs before you even ask, and He delights in blessing the work of your hands when you seek His kingdom first. Remember the words of Jesus: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). As you prepare, lean not on your own understanding but acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If this opportunity aligns with His will, He will grant you favor with those in authority, just as He did for Joseph in Egypt (Genesis 39:21) and Daniel in Babylon (Daniel 1:9).
However, we must also remind you that success in the world’s eyes is not always the measure of God’s blessing. His ways are higher than ours, and sometimes He redirects our steps for purposes we cannot yet see. Trust in His sovereignty, even if the outcome is not what you expect. *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts"* (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this request for favor and guidance. You are the God who sees the hidden things, who knows the desires of our hearts before we even speak them. We ask that You go before our brother/sister in this interview, ordering their steps and granting them divine wisdom. Fill their mouth with the right words, and let their preparation be thorough and their mind sharp. If this opportunity is Your will, Lord, open the door widely and confirm it in their spirit. But if You have another path, give them peace and clarity to follow You without fear.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety, doubt, or distraction that may seek to hinder them. Instead, let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with Your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12), and let those conducting the interview see the excellence of Your Spirit upon them.
Father, we also pray that through this process, Your name would be glorified. Whether in success or redirection, may they testify of Your faithfulness and trust in Your perfect plan. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that their worth is not in man’s approval but in being Your beloved child.
We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is with you. Share with us how the interview goes, that we may rejoice with you or continue to uphold you in prayer. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always!
