For Earth 🌎🩷

Disciple of Prayer
I think a lot of people need to stop and pray for us. I don’t think enough people do it, but I think a lot of people forget about the planet we live on and they get caught up in their own daily lives and they don’t really remember the planet we live on and what gives us life as we know it. God is real he’s very real sometimes I feel like he has given us this place to call home and we’re destroying it. I think we honestly need to pray for the universe being perfect for our planet to survive. I feel like we need to pray for every aspect that makes this earth able to sustain life like us and I think our whole entire ecosystem that we have here we need to pray for before we don’t have it at all. It’s crying out and needs prayers as well. Pay attention to what are planet is saying 🌎❤️‍🔥 We need to fix what has been done 🌎💚 pray for the place every living thing calls home. There’s no other place than home. 🏠 🌎🩷

We hear your deep concern for the Earth, and we share in your desire to see God’s creation cared for and preserved. The Bible tells us that God created the heavens and the Earth and declared it all "very good" (Genesis 1:31). He entrusted humanity with the responsibility to steward His creation, to cultivate it, and to keep it (Genesis 2:15). It is clear that we have not always fulfilled this calling with the care and reverence it deserves.

The Earth does indeed groan under the weight of human neglect and sin, as Romans 8:22 reminds us: "For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now." This groaning is not just a metaphor, it reflects the brokenness of a world subjected to futility because of mankind’s fall. But we must remember that creation’s hope is tied to the redemption found in Christ. The same verse goes on to say that creation itself will be "set free from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God" (Romans 8:21). This is our hope, and it is why we pray, not in despair, but in faith that God is at work restoring all things through Jesus.

We must also be cautious about how we frame our prayers for the Earth. While it is right to pray for the preservation of God’s creation, we must not elevate the Earth or the universe to a place of reverence that belongs to God alone. The Earth is not our savior, it is a gift from our Creator, and our ultimate hope is not in its survival alone, but in the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17). We do not pray to the Earth or the universe, nor do we attribute to them a voice or will of their own. Instead, we pray to the Lord, who alone is sovereign over His creation.

Let us also remember that the brokenness of the Earth is a reflection of the brokenness in the human heart. Environmental destruction is often a symptom of greed, selfishness, and idolatry, putting our own desires above God’s commands and the well-being of others. True care for creation begins with repentance and a return to God’s design for how we are to live. As 2 Chronicles 7:14 tells us: "If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

So we lift up this prayer for the Earth, for wisdom, and for repentance:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as stewards of the creation You have entrusted to us. You spoke the heavens and the Earth into existence, and You declared it good. We confess that we have not always cared for Your creation as we should. We have been selfish, wasteful, and neglectful, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Lord, we pray for the Earth, for its healing, its protection, and for the wisdom to use its resources wisely. Give us hearts that seek to honor You in how we live, how we consume, and how we care for the land, the waters, and all living things.

We pray for leaders and decision-makers, that they would act with justice, wisdom, and a commitment to preserving what You have made. Help us to see the Earth not as something to exploit, but as a gift to cherish. And above all, Lord, we pray that Your name would be glorified in all things. May we never lose sight of the fact that our hope is not in the Earth itself, but in You, the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who reconciles all things to Himself, whether things on Earth or things in heaven (Colossians 1:20). Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for the Earth, but also to take action in ways that honor God. This might mean making changes in your own life to reduce waste, supporting policies that promote responsible stewardship, or simply taking time to appreciate the beauty of God’s creation. And most importantly, share the hope of the Gospel, for it is only through Christ that true restoration, of both humanity and creation, will come.

We share your ache for the world God made. It can feel like we’ve forgotten that this blue-green planet is not just a backdrop for our lives but the very home our Creator entrusted to us. That longing in your words, the sense that the earth is crying out, reflects something real. Creation is groaning under the weight of human brokenness, and you’re right to bring that before the God who holds it all together.

We’re grateful for your heart that refuses to look away. In a culture that numbs us with busyness, you’re stopping to listen to what the land, water, and skies are telling us. That attentiveness is a kind of prayer already. And you’re not alone: we join you in asking God to restore the delicate balance of ecosystems, to give wisdom to those who make decisions about resources, and to awaken a deeper sense of stewardship in all of us.

One practical way to live out this burden might be to gather a few friends or members of your church to pray regularly for the earth, not just as an abstract cause, but as the very real, life-sustaining gift it is. Praying together can turn private grief into shared hope.

Lord, we lift up this beautiful, fragile planet You spoke into being. You saw that it was good, and You gave us the honour of tending it. Forgive us for the ways we’ve broken what You entrusted to us. Bring healing to scarred land, fouled water, and disrupted seasons. Grant perseverance to those who work to protect and restore creation. And give us all hearts that love our home as an act of loving You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Turn this care into prayer, for care is injurious, but prayer is a benefit to the soul. You are right to see the groaning of creation, but the earth’s cry is not a call to fix the planet by our own schemes, it is a summons to fall upon our faces and plead with the Most High. The prayer that saves from care is prayer that is repeated and importunate. In everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. Do not merely ask once; press the suit with all the arguments you can muster. Spread before Him the promises: that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, that He has given it as a home for His creatures. Yet remember, the creation was subjected to vanity not willingly, but by reason of Him who subjected it in hope. The ultimate remedy for a groaning world is not the mending of ecosystems alone, but the redemption of souls and the hastening of the day when the earth shall be filled with the glory of God as the waters cover the sea.

Take heed, however, that your prayer is not stained with unholiness. How can a prayer succeed if it is not brought to the blood for cleansing? A prayer that springs from a heart clinging to worldly cares, loaded down with lumps of adhesive earth, drags heavily. Unholiness hinders prayer. Examine your own life. Are you as eager in the closet as you are in the marketplace? A truly spiritual prayer for quickening can only come from those in whom the quickening Spirit already dwells. And when you pray for the earth, pray with humility of spirit, not as one who has the plan to fix all things. Jacob’s model prayer was highly argumentative yet deeply humble. So plead, “Lord, remember Your word unto Your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope. You made this earth and saw that it was good. For Your mercy’s sake, restrain the destroyer, raise up laborers for the harvest of souls, and let Your kingdom come.”

Do not let this prayer be a solitary cry. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, this is the pattern of the church. Stir up the prayer meeting. If it is badly attended, if the prayers are cold and dead, that is a practical way of saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” Instead, agree together as touching this thing. God pledges that the prayer of His agreeing ones shall be answered. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for it mimics Christ’s own intercession. It is exceedingly prevalent. It has stayed plagues and opened windows in heaven. Pray for every living thing, yes, but chiefly pray for the sons of men to be turned from the error of their ways, for the root of earth’s misery is sin. If we wished to become helpers to a troubled world, we should be tutored in the college of all-prayer.

Yet be warned: there is an unseasonable prayer. When the Lord says, “Go forward,” it is time to act in faith, not merely to cry out. Prayer must never be a cloak for indolence or disobedience. You lament the planet’s destruction; then let your prayer fuel a holy life that treads lightly upon God’s creation in simplicity and stewardship, avoiding greed and waste. But the dark suggestion of the Evil One that prayer is a fancy, spurn it with all your might! Cry to God in the daytime and at night. Mighty prayer will yet prevail if it has but time. The prayer is the shadow of a coming blessing. Plead the promise, then act as faith bids. The whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now, but the Lord will hear and answer, not in the way we expect, but by the appearing of the Maker of heaven and earth. There is no other place than home, indeed, but our true home is with Him who makes all things new. Let the whole earth be filled with His glory.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The very earth you feel crying out is indeed a work of His hands, and you sense a truth: it is bound up with our own state. When man fell from grace, the creation was made subject to corruption, not by its own will, but because of him. It groans as in childbirth, waiting for the glorious liberty of the children of God. So do not think of the planet as a separate thing, but understand that its fate follows our own. The ruin we see without first took root within our souls.

Yet fix your gaze not on the creation, but on the Creator who upholds all things by the word of His power. Can the ship be in danger when the Master of the storm is at the helm? Do not fall into the error of those who defraud Him of His providence, as if He set the world spinning like a potter’s wheel and then walked away. He is the Life of all things. The very breath that sustains the beasts of the field and the stability of the ground beneath your feet comes from Him who took dust and spittle and made clay, showing Himself the very Architect of creation. To pray amiss is to pray for the house while forgetting the Builder who sustains it.

Therefore, the prayer you must offer is the one He taught. Not merely for the soil and the sky, but that His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. This is the true remedy. For when error is destroyed and wickedness cast out from every heart, when virtue returns to the souls of men, then the earth itself begins to taste its liberation. You cannot have a healthy world while a sick race of men defiles it with a thousand sins. You speak of fixing what has been done, and you are right: the first creation of Adam was from earth, but the new creation in Christ is far more noble. We must become a new creation ourselves. Repair the inner man, and the outer world will follow. Pray then, not for a vague universal peace while ignoring the Creator’s design, but for the conversion of all mankind, for love of enemies and the care of the entire world to be planted in every soul. That is the prayer that puts the earth back in order.

Your heart is heavy with the same groaning that Scripture describes as filling all of creation. The sense that the planet itself is crying out is not irrational or just an emotional reaction to the news. It is a deeply biblical insight. The apostle Paul tells us plainly that creation is groaning and travailing in pain together until now, bound under the curse of sin alongside fallen mankind. That ache you feel when you see what is happening to the world around you is not just a personal burden; it is an echo of the reality that the whole order of nature is waiting for its liberation, just as our own bodies are waiting for full redemption.

What you are experiencing in that wordless frustration, that feeling that you do not even know how to pray as you should for the atmosphere, the water, and the intricate balance of life, is a place where the Holy Spirit meets us directly. We are told that the Spirit helps us in our weakness, making intercession for us with groanings too deep for words. When you read the headlines or look at the scars on the land and your spirit sighs within you, that is the Spirit of God aligning your heart with His own purposes. He is searching the heart and interpreting that deep concern according to the will of God. It is not a prayer that requires polished words; it is a prayer from the depth of your being as you cooperate with what the Creator desires for His world.

It is vital to remember the direction of our worship in this process. As you marvel at the genius of a leaf turning sunlight into energy or the perfect distance of the earth from the sun, you are seeing the fingerprints of an infinitely wise Designer. The rational response is not to despair for the planet as if it were a living deity itself, but to be driven to worship the Creator. The tragedy of modern man is worshipping the created thing rather than the One who spoke it into existence. The earth is not our mother; it is a magnificent house given to us by our Father. When we pray, we are not asking God to submit to our wishes for the environment. We are asking that His will be done on earth. Prayer is the instrument by which we work in cooperation with God to see His purpose accomplished on this rebellious planet. It is never about convincing God to change His mind, but about submitting to His plan so that His kingdom comes.

Take that deep concern and let it shape your prayers into intercession for a lost world that has forgotten its Maker. Bring the brokenness of the ecosystem before Him, knowing He understands the groaning. As you do, trust that God, who has set the laws of creation in motion, will take care of the secondary things as you put Him first. The assurance we find in prayer is not an immediate guarantee that every physical law will be reversed right now, but a settled confidence that the Lord will deal bountifully with His creation. He will not let the wickedness of exploitation overwhelm His ultimate intention. We are waiting for that perfect work where the curse is rolled back, and in the meantime, our groaning in the Spirit is a powerful act of intercession for the life of the world.
