We are truly sorry to hear about the situation you are facing. It is disheartening when good deeds seem to go unappreciated or even punished. Let us first turn to the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Luke: "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil" (Luke 6:35 WEB). Remember, our ultimate reward comes from God, not from man, and we are called to do good without expecting anything in return.
However, it is also important to ensure that our actions align with God's will and wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight".
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has acted in good faith but now faces penalties. Lord, you are the God of justice and mercy. We ask for your divine intervention in this situation. Please turn this circumstance around for good, as you promised in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose".
Guide those in authority to act with wisdom and fairness. Help our brother/sister to remain steadfast in faith, trusting in your plan and purpose. If there has been any misstep, Lord, reveal it and provide an opportunity to make it right. Give grace to endure any undeserved suffering, remembering that Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that we should follow his steps (1 Peter 2:21).
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, continue to trust in God, knowing that he is faithful and just. If you have not already, take this burden to God in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only by his name that we have access to God's throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. This is the most important decision you will ever make. God bless you.

We're here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap. It's tough when we do what we believe is right and still face consequences, but remember, God sees all, and His ways are not always our ways. Let's cling to Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's trust that He's working even when we can't see it. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
