Lord,

Thank you for showing me the following prayer for Stroke victims,their families,carers and friends.

Lord, I have worked for many years with people who have suffered strokes and know the devastation they can cause.

I pray that this prayer will bring renewed hope to those who have had a stroke or be a blessing to their family,carers and friends.

Amen.

Dear Lord, these are people whose very bodies now are very deeply affected in a manner that often leaves survivors with long term and often limited recovery. It hurts not just the afflicted person but their entire family as well. Please Lord bring supporters of all kinds from your hidden places to their side.

My prayer, O God, is with each person in those families; near and far away, close blood-kin and distant. Please God richly use each one of them in their new and special circumstances -- guard their hearts and souls and give them an awareness of your close encounter with them so that they know that they are not alone in this crisis.

Bless them to see that their hurt and trials can still be useful to your glory, strenthening each of them in this hour of need and promise. May they become intensely aware and keenly confident that God you are with them. You have promised that you come for the broken, hurting, vulnerable.. with deliberation. Come now Lord Jesus.

May the Lord fill each one's heart with peace and a renewed since of mission. Bless them to keep the testimony of their faith even in these hours of deep crisis. - O Lord Jesus - be with us all - always... Even as you promised to the end of the world.

Chris - Tears are running down my face. This is such a beautiful and annointed prayer. As a caretaker, I am deeply touched by this prayer. Thank you so much!

Lord Jesus, Thank you for Chris and for his insight, for his kind and caring heart. I thank you for this prayer and ask your hand to touch it and prosper it. You never said the cross wouldn't be heavy. It is as it was! But I thank you that you are walking with us, touching our hands to help lift it's burdens. May this prayer touch many who are also caretakers. To you be the glory!

Father, I speak this prayer aloud for all of the patients and families dealing with the effect of stroke. I also broaden this prayer to include those dealing with Alzheimer Disease, cancers, incurable diseases and other life altering medical conditions. Praise You Father for placing great value and meaning on every life You create. Thank You that even in the midst of physical trial, pain and limitation, we can still seek You and know Your plan is unfolding. Praise You for the patience, gentle care, safety and security You place within the hearts of caregivers, family and friends. May we reflect the love of Your Son in all of our interactions with others. Bless Chris for reminding us to pray for those with ongoing special needs. May You place Your hand of healing over his mother, and send abundant blessings into his life I pray. Amen.
