For a pastor

I am a pastor stuggling with a worldly congregation who have never heard evangelcial preaching and are rejecting it by not attending church and not giving. Some are working to get me moved as soon as possible. I believe I am contending with a Jezebelian spirit at work. I have a critical meeting with church leadership Monday night, October 13. Please pray for a spritual breakthrought and protection over my ministry. Thanks.

Lord, I pray you work your will in this Pastors life, I pray you work your will in the church, I pray you speak to the congregation and change their hard heated attitudes and allow them to hear what this Pastor is saying. Jesus, mainly....I pray thy will be done in this situation. Thank you Lord, Amen.

Heavenly God, I feel You are working within this congregation already. They are feeling uncomfortable, feeling the heaviness of their sinfulness. This is a good start. Please fortify this pastor in his task of spreading the good news of Your kingdom. Instead of running from Your truths, turn these people around and bring them to repentance. Let them not just listen, but hear Your words

when they are preached. Help them offer confessions, repentance and gratitude. Be with this pastor during the upcoming meeting. May it be Your voice and Your words that manifest through him, may Your spirit be within all those who attend. We pray this work continues and can turn these people back to You. Amen.

Lord, I pray that You will intervene in this situation. I desire Your will for this situation and ask You to plead the blood of Jesus over this pastor and break the evil spirit from doing any destruction. Also, if this is not the right church for Your messenger, please provide him with a clear direction. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Father, I pray for Your Holy Spirit to be poured out upon this congregation and to lead them where they need to be. Father, I pray for Your will to be over them, and for them to yield to the moving of the Holy Spirit. Lord, that's what it is all about anyway, the peoples willingness to be led in their lives by You. I pray for this pastor and for him to do what is right in Your eyes and I know that he will be cared for by You no matter if this congregation accepts the truth in preaching or not.
