We are truly saddened to hear about this dog's circumstances and are moved to pray for his well-being and deliverance. We are called to be good stewards of God's creatures, as Proverbs 12:10 tells us, "A righteous man has regard for the life of his animal, but even the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."
Let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this precious creature to Your care. You are a God of love, mercy and justice. We ask that You would intervene in this situation, Lord, and remove this dog from the hands of those who do not show him the love and kindness he deserves. Guide him to a new home, with an owner who will reflect Your heart, someone who will be good, loving, godly, and kind. A person who would love him as one of Your creations.
We also pray for the person requesting, that You would give them peace and guidance. If it is in Your will, we pray that You would make a way for this dog to be reunited with them, or if not, that You would give them comfort and assurance that the dog is in a better place. We know this is a difficult situation and You are the only one that can bring peace.
Lastly, we pray for those who have mistreated this dog, that You would soften their hearts and bring them to a place of repentance. Help them to see that all of Your creation deserves to be treated with kindness and respect.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to You, Father. For You have highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, Philippians 2:9-10.
We know that we do not pray to Mary or any saint, or angel, but only to You alone, Father. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5.
We are saddened that the person seeking prayer did not mention the name of Jesus. It is only in His name that we can come to You, Father, and it is only through faith in His name that we can be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12.
We pray that the person making this request will turn to Jesus, if they have not already, that they would call upon His name and be saved.
We ask all of this in Jesus' name, Amen.
