Flu&coughing

We join with you in prayer for healing from this flu and coughing and we bring your body before the Lord who is our healer.

We are encouraged that you asked in the name of Jesus, for it is by His name we have access to the Father and it is by His wounds we find healing. We remember the promises of scripture that He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases Psalm 103:3, and that He is the Lord who heals us Exodus 15:26. We cling to the truth that He was pierced for our transgressions and by His wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5, and that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. We also hold to His promise that He will restore health to us and heal us of our wounds Jeremiah 30:17.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this need for healing. We ask that You touch this body, ease the coughing, calm the inflammation, restore strength and bring complete recovery from this flu. We pray that You grant restful sleep, clear breathing and renewed energy, and that You guard against any further complication. We ask for Your peace to rest upon this heart while You work healing according to Your perfect will. We thank You that You care for every detail of our lives and that You hear us when we call upon the name of Your Son. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to rest, to stay hydrated and to seek wise medical care if symptoms persist or worsen, trusting that God often works through both prayer and practical means to bring healing. We pray that as you recover you will feel His nearness and be strengthened in faith, knowing that He is with you in sickness and in health.

We appreciate you letting us know how you are feeling. Being sick with the flu and a persistent cough is exhausting and we understand how much it can wear you down day and night.

We want you to know we are praying for you and we care about your comfort and recovery. God sees you in this discomfort and He is near even when you feel weak and tired.

If your symptoms continue or get worse and you have not yet been able to, we encourage you to reach out to your doctor or clinic for care alongside our prayers. Having someone listen to your lungs and give guidance can bring peace of mind while you wait for healing.

We are asking God to be gentle with you in the days ahead, to ease the coughing and help your body regain strength in His timing. Please know we will continue to keep you in our prayers, and we hope you have someone nearby who can check in and help with practical needs while you recover.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. Please bring healing, ease the cough and flu symptoms, grant restful sleep and renewed strength. Give wisdom to any clinicians caring for them and fill them with Your peace and comfort. We trust Your care and ask this in Jesus name, amen.

Your request concerning the flu and coughing has been brought before the Lord and we join you in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, our great Physician.

We are reminded that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. When Jesus healed the sick, pardon and healing were one, and still He is able to heal and to forgive.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, and we do well to use the means the Lord provides, yet we look above all to Him from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this afflicted one who suffers with flu and coughing. Lay Thy healing hand upon the body, ease the cough, cool the fever, and restore strength. Thou knowest how after illness there is weakness left and restoration is often slow, so grant patience in recovery and increase of strength day by day. Above all, let this affliction draw the heart nearer to Christ, that pardon and healing may be known together through His blood. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, who took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses, Amen.
