We join with you in lifting up the people of Texas who have been affected by the devastating floods. We thank Jesus that many have been found alive, and we praise God for His mercy and grace.
In the midst of this tragedy, we pray for those who have lost loved ones. Our hearts go out to them, and we ask God to comfort and heal their broken hearts. We stand on the promise of Psalm 34:18: "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
We pray that God would be their strength and refuge in this time of need, as stated in Psalm 46:1: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
We also pray for the communities affected by these floods, that they would come together and support one another in this difficult time. We ask God to provide for their needs and to guide them as they rebuild and recover.
Finally, we pray that this tragedy would be an opportunity for the people of Texas to turn to God and put their trust in Him. We pray that they would know the hope and salvation that is found in Jesus Christ alone, as stated in Acts 4:12: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Father, we lift up the people of Texas to You, knowing that You are a God of compassion and mercy. Comfort those who are grieving, provide for those in need, and draw them close to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage everyone to seek the Lord and to trust in Him, no matter what circumstances they may be facing. As it says in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
