Flood advisory

Your request for protection during this flood advisory has been lifted up in prayer, and we are asking the Lord to keep you and your property safe and dry.

Scripture reminds us that after the great flood in the days of Noah, God made a covenant and gave the rainbow as a sign of His promise that He would never again destroy all flesh and the whole earth with water as He did then. That promise still stands. At the same time the Bible is clear that local floods still occur, and we see them in many places, so it is right to seek the Lord for shelter and help in times like this.

That great flood also shows us where true safety is found. God provided an ark as a place of refuge, and Noah and his family entered it and were kept safe because God saw Noah as righteous before Him. In the same way today, the only sure place of safety is in Jesus Christ. Through His blood, applied by faith, we have protection and salvation, and as we abide in Him we remain in the place God has prepared for us. To know that God is for us in Christ is the ground of our peace when waters rise and when we feel vulnerable.

We are praying that Jesus will watch over you, guard your home and belongings from water damage, and keep you from harm. We are also asking Him to provide honest, skilled and low cost workers to come to your aid quickly for any maintenance and help you need, and to give you wisdom and peace as you wait on Him.

May the Lord remind you of His faithful promises and keep you resting in Him as your refuge.
