Flood advisory

We join with you in prayer as this flood advisory is upon your area and we lift up your safety, your home and your property before the Lord who rules over the wind and the waters.
We are reminded that God is sovereign over all creation and that even the storms obey His voice. Matthew 8:27 says the men marveled, saying, What kind of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him. Psalm 107:29 says He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still. We take comfort that nothing catches Him by surprise and that He is our shelter in times of trouble.
Psalm 46:1 tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Isaiah 43:2 promises When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. Psalm 91:1-2 declares He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress my God, in whom I trust.
We also hear your concern for practical help and for honest, low cost maintenance workers to come to your aid. We trust that God cares about every detail of our lives and He is faithful to provide. Philippians 4:19 reminds us My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, thanking You that we can call upon You in every need. We ask for Your hand of protection over this dear one, over their household and over all who are in the path of these flood waters. Lord, command the rains to ease and the waters to recede according to Your perfect will. Keep them dry, keep their home safe, and guard their property from damage. Place Your angels around them and let no harm come near their dwelling. Give them wisdom to heed the advisories, to take necessary precautions, and to remain safe, and grant peace to their hearts as they trust in You.
We also ask You to provide the right maintenance workers, men of skill and integrity who will do honest work at a fair and low cost. Lead those workers to come at the right time and provide for every financial need that arises from this situation. Let all that is done be done well and for Your glory.
We thank You and praise You even in this advisory, for You are good and Your loving kindness endures forever. We trust You to keep and to provide. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our refuge and our deliverer. Amen.

We heard the worry in your note about the flood advisory and wanting to stay dry and keep your property safe while finding affordable help. That is a lot to hold at once, and we are standing with you in it. Thank you for reaching out and for your praise even in the stress.
We are praying for your safety and for clear guidance as you watch the weather. One small step that often helps bring a little steadiness during an advisory is to stay close to your local emergency management and weather service updates, make sure drains and gutters around the home are clear if you can do so safely, and keep important papers and valuables up off the floor. If you have a moment, it can also help to call ahead to one or two trusted local maintenance contacts or your city or county assistance line to ask about low cost options, so you have a name ready if you need help quickly.
Father, we lift our friend to You now. Please keep them safe and watch over their home and property through this advisory. Provide honest, affordable workers if help is needed, give wisdom for each decision, and quiet fear with Your nearness. We place them in Your caring hands. In Jesus' name, amen.

Beloved of All
We have heard your prayer under the shadow of this flood advisory and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace.
There is a true danger before you, for waters rise and property is imperilled, and we are all in danger of many evils unless the Lord Himself keep us. You do well to cry to Him who alone is able to keep you from falling, for our safety lies not in our own foresight nor in earthly barriers, but in our Saviour, the only wise God our Saviour. His hand is a place for safety as well as a place of honour, and nothing can hurt the soul that has made its refuge in God. He has given commandment to save His people, and He charges His angels to keep them in all their ways. He who travels on the King's highway is under the King's protection, and they who trust Him shall be kept, yea, presented faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.
We have also seen how the flood in Noah's day swept all away that was not secured in the ark, but those whom God shut in were safe though the heavens were opened and the firmament dissolved. So shall it be with you if you abide under His hand. Though the waters swell, though the heavens should be rolled up, the people of God shall be saved. If they cannot be saved under the heavens, they shall be saved in the heavens, for God's throne might sooner fail than that one of His saints should perish.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God and Saviour, Thou who art able to keep us from falling and to command the waters, look in mercy upon these Thy servants in this hour of the flood advisory. Keep them dry and keep their dwelling and property from harm. Set Thy gracious restraint upon the waters and let Thy angelic keeping be over them perpetually and personally. Provide for them, we beseech Thee, honest and skilful maintenance workers at low cost to come to their aid, men of principle and diligence who will deal justly and serve well. Grant wisdom to those who labour and peace to those who wait upon Thee. Let this trial turn to gratitude, that they may say with thankfulness, Thou hast given commandment to save us, and may praise Thee for Thy preserving goodness.
We commend you to Him who is able, trusting that whether the flood rise or recede, you are kept in His hand, and that His glory shall be your exceeding joy. Amen.

Beloved of All
I prayed for this request in Jesus Name. Amen.
Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have received your prayer and we join you in bringing it before the Lord.
We ask our heavenly Father, who is our refuge and strength and a very present help in trouble, to keep you and your household safe and to keep your home dry in this flood advisory. We pray that He would set His hand of protection over you, over your property, and over all that He has entrusted to your care, and that He would grant you peace as you trust in Him.
We also ask the Lord to provide honest, skilled and low cost workers to come to your aid for the maintenance you need, and to give you wisdom and favor in every arrangement. May He supply what you need according to His goodness and keep you from unnecessary burden or expense.
We give thanks with you for His mercies, for His past protection, and for His promise never to leave nor forsake His people. Even as the Scriptures remind us of the flood in the days of Noah, we remember that God sees His people, He warns, He preserves, and He brings them through. Rest in His care today, keep watch in prayer, and take every reasonable step for safety as you look to Him.
May the Lord guard you, keep you dry, protect your home, and send the help you need. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
