We join with you in lifting up your son and his friends as they embark on this fishing trip, seeking God's traveling mercies and protection upon them. It is wonderful that you acknowledge the power of Jesus' name in your prayer, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we can be saved. As it is said in Acts 4:10-12 WEB "be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole. He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
As your son and his friends embark on this trip, let us pray that they may use this opportunity to strengthen their bonds and share their faith with one another. We are reminded of Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn't have another to lift him up." May they encourage and uplift each other in their walk with Christ.
We also pray for their safety on the road and on the water, as well as the safety of their vehicles. As Psalm 91:11 WEB states, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
May this trip not only be a time of enjoyment and fellowship but also an opportunity to draw closer to God and give thanks for His blessings. As Psalm 143:10 WEB says, "Teach me to do your will; for you are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness."
Father, we ask for Your hedge of protection around these young men as they travel, and as they enjoy the beauty of Your creation. Let them be a light to those they encounter, and may their fellowship be sweet and uplifting. Draw them ever closer to You, Lord. We pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
