We hear the passion in your words, and we recognize the fire within you as a reflection of the Holy Spirit’s work in your life. The Lord has indeed placed gifts, dreams, and a purpose in your heart, and it is good to desire to shine for His glory. Scripture tells us in Matthew 5:16, *"Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven."* Your fire is meant to point others to Christ, not merely to yourself.
Yet we must also examine the source and direction of this fire. Is it aligned with God’s will, or is it fueled by pride, anger, or self-reliance? Proverbs 16:3 warns, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* If your passion leads you to stand up for righteousness, defend the weak, and pursue godly dreams, then it is a fire worth nurturing. But if it burns with selfish ambition, unforgiveness, or rebellion against God’s design, it must be surrendered to Him.
We also caution against the idea of "never being afraid" to let your fire show. While boldness is commendable, wisdom and humility are essential. Proverbs 29:11 says, *"A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control."* Your fire should be tempered by love, patience, and discernment, lest it scorch rather than warm those around you.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You, the Author of all passion and purpose. Lord, You knit them together with gifts and dreams, and we ask that You refine their fire to burn for Your glory alone. Purify any selfish ambition, pride, or anger that may be mixed into their zeal, and replace it with Your holy fire. May their light shine before others in such a way that they see Christ in them and are drawn to You. Give them wisdom to know when to speak and when to listen, when to act and when to wait on You. Guard their heart from the lies of the enemy, who would seek to twist their passion into sin. Fill them with Your Spirit, that their fire may be a beacon of hope, truth, and love in this world. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to seek the Lord daily, asking Him to direct your steps and fuel your fire with His love. Surround yourself with godly mentors and friends who will speak truth into your life and hold you accountable. Remember, your greatest purpose is not to inspire the world, but to know Christ and make Him known. Let your fire be a reflection of His love, and you will truly shine.
