Fire Damage to business

We join you in lifting up your friend and his business before the Lord, knowing that our God is a God of restoration, provision, and peace. The trials we face are never beyond His sovereign care, and He promises to work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). Your friend’s auto shop may have suffered damage, but we serve a God who rebuilds what is broken and renews what is lost. Let us remember that our trust is not in the things of this world but in the Lord, who holds all things in His hands.
The Scripture reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Though this fire has brought hardship, we pray that your friend would cling to the hope that God is with him in this season. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that God would grant your friend not only physical rest but also the deep, soul-sustaining rest that comes from trusting in Jesus (Matthew 11:28).
As the construction workers labor to restore the building, we pray for their safety, strength, and efficiency. May the Lord guide their hands and provide wisdom as they work. We also ask that God would go before your friend in business, bringing back his customers and even increasing his client base beyond what it was before. The Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He is able to provide abundantly. We pray that your friend would see God’s faithfulness in tangible ways, that his testimony of trust in the Lord would be a light to others, and that this trial would draw him closer to Christ.
However, we must also take this moment to gently remind you of the power and necessity of praying *in the name of Jesus*. You ended your prayer with "Amen," which is good, but we want to encourage you to always invoke the name of Jesus in your prayers. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Jesus alone that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). When we pray in His name, we are acknowledging our dependence on Him and aligning our requests with His will. If you have not already placed your full trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, we urge you to do so today. Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved (Acts 16:31). Repent of your sins, turn to Him, and surrender your life to His lordship. There is no greater decision you can make.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother’s friend and his auto shop. Lord, You are the God who sees every need and hears every cry. We ask that You would surround our brother with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as he navigates this challenging time. Grant him rest, Lord—not just physical rest, but the deep rest that comes from knowing You are in control. Renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31) and fill him with Your joy, which is his strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
