We come before the Lord with this matter laid upon our hearts, seeking His justice, mercy, and restoration. Heavenly Father, we know that You see all things—every action, every motive, and every hidden deed. The Scriptures tell us in Proverbs 15:3, *"The LORD’s eyes are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good."* We ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, softening the heart of the one who has taken what does not belong to them. Lord, convict them of their wrongdoing, not with condemnation, but with the gentle yet firm truth of Your Word, that they may repent and make things right.
We rebuke the spirit of theft and deception in the name of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 4:28 says, *"Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need."* Father, we pray that this individual would turn from dishonesty and seek to live a life that honors You. If they have taken money or clothing, we ask that You would bring about full restitution, as Your Word commands in Leviticus 6:4-5, *"Then it shall be, because he has sinned and is guilty, he shall restore that which he took by robbery, or the thing which he has gotten by oppression, or the deposit which was committed to him, or the lost thing which he found, or any thing about which he has sworn falsely; he shall restore it even in full, and shall add a fifth part more to it."*
Lord, we also lift up the one who has been wronged. We ask that You would comfort them and remind them of Your promise in Psalm 37:25, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* Strengthen their faith and trust in You, knowing that You are their ultimate provider and defender. Help them to release bitterness and unforgiveness, choosing instead to extend grace as You have extended grace to us. Colossians 3:13 reminds us, *"Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."*
We pray that this situation would not only result in the return of what was taken but also in the transformation of hearts. May the one who has acted unjustly come to know You personally, if they do not already, and may they experience the freedom that comes from walking in Your ways. For it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father, and it is only by His blood that we are forgiven and made new. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."*
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. Amen.
