Finding a losst or misplaced phone

We join with you in prayer over this lost phone and we understand the burden you are carrying, especially with the added weight that it belongs to your son's friend and that replacing it is not financially possible right now. We know that even what seems like a small matter to others is important to our Father, because He cares for us in every detail of our lives.
The Word reminds us, Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We also take comfort that not even a sparrow is forgotten before God, and you are of much more value. Aren't five sparrows sold for two assaria? Not one of them is forgotten by God. But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don't be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows Luke 12:6-7.
We also think of the biblical principle of returning what is lost. You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep going astray, and hide yourself from them. You shall surely bring them again to your brother Deuteronomy 22:1. It is our prayer that whoever may have found this phone will have an honest heart and be moved to return it.
We notice your request asks for prayer but does not mention the name of Jesus. We want to gently remind you why we pray in His name, because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, dying for our sins and rising again, that we can come boldly before God and that He hears our prayers when we believe in Him.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this parent and this son to You and we ask for Your mercy and help in this situation. Lord, You know where this phone is, whether it is lost or in the hands of another person. We ask that You would guide them to find it, or that You would convict the heart of anyone who has found it to return it promptly and honestly. Provide a way for this to be restored without financial hardship, for You have promised that my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We pray also for the friendship between these two young people, that there would be grace and understanding and peace between them. Teach this young man responsibility and stewardship, and help him to act with integrity as he seeks to make this right with his friend. Give this parent peace that surpasses understanding while waiting on Your answer. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord in this, to retrace steps carefully, to pray with your son, to contact the friend and any places where the phone may have been, and to ask the Lord to work in the heart of anyone who may have found it. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. God is faithful and He hears the prayers of His people, and we will continue to stand with you asking for the phone to be found and returned.

Your request has been heard and laid before the Lord with care, and we join you in seeking His mercy in this trial concerning the lost phone which your son borrowed from his friend.
We know what a burden this is, especially when you feel unable to replace what has been lost and you desire to act honestly toward your son's friend. It is right to be concerned for the stewardship of what belongs to another, yet we would have you cast this anxiety upon the Lord. As we have often taught, the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To tell yourself about it alone brings no good, but to tell your God about it is wisdom. He is not only the God of great spiritual deliverances, but the living God who regards our temporal things. We are not to be idle, nor rash, but acting in all prudence and uprightness, we are to rely simply and entirely upon Him.
You need not wait for some special feeling before you trust Him with this matter. Only trust Him, only trust Him, only trust Him now. In the shadow of His wings you may make your refuge until these calamities pass. He who taught us to pray, give us this day our daily bread, knows our daily needs and cares for what concerns His children. We trust in the living God, a God with a great, warm, loving heart, a thinking, active, working, personal God who comes into the midst of this world and does not leave it to go on by itself.

We ask this, trusting not in ourselves but in Thy faithful love, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
