Thank you for bringing this need before the Lord and for caring about these two people and their desire to have a stable place to live. God does see financial pressure and He is not distant from it. When you are going through financial problems, help is very close. Jesus is near, and you can call on Him, reach out to Him, and trust Him to take hold of you and lift you up as He did for Peter when he began to sink.

It is right to pray for provision, and God is able to do miracles. At the same time Scripture shows that miracles are not something we can schedule or demand, as if God performs on certain nights or because someone has earned it by a perfect life. Those who have been used in miracles have not always lived consistently holy lives, which reminds us that a miracle is an act of God's grace and sovereignty, not a reward for our performance. We do not command God, we ask Him and trust His wisdom.

God also does not want us to give or to seek His help out of pressure, or out of the idea that if we give to Him He must give back to us in return. He wants us to trust Him because we love Him and to walk in a way that pleases Him out of love for Christ. That includes handling money wisely, working faithfully, living within what He provides, and seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide what we truly need.

You mentioned a desire for them to be able to move out. Moving is a major step and Scripture uses that picture to remind us that in this life our bodies are like tents, temporary dwellings, and that our lasting hope as believers is the home God prepares that is eternal. While we are in this tent we still need wisdom for practical moves. Praying for a financial miracle should go together with praying for wisdom, discipline, contentment, and guidance to make decisions that honor the Lord.

That also means praying about how they will live. God has shown in Scripture that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that sexual union and living together as a couple belong within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. If these two are considering living together apart from that covenant, it would not be right to ask God to bless that arrangement. Instead we ask Him to provide for them to live in a way that honors Him, whether that means provision for separate living situations, for godly counsel, and if they are a couple, for steps toward marriage if that is His will, or for purity and wisdom if it is not.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we bring these two people to You. You know their needs, their debts, their income, their hopes to move, and the pressures they feel. We ask You to have mercy and to provide for them according to Your riches and wisdom. Give them work that is honest, habits that are faithful, and hearts that seek You first. Teach them to steward what they have well, to be free from pressure and from trying to manipulate You, and to give and live out of love for You. Lead them to housing and living arrangements that honor You and keep them pure. Above all, draw each of them to trust Jesus Christ alone for salvation and to follow Him fully. Give them peace as they wait on You, and lift them up by Your hand. Amen.
