We join you in lifting this financial burden to the Lord, trusting that He is indeed at work even now, for He is the God who provides, sustains, and makes a way where there seems to be none. Your faith in His provision is a testament to your trust in Him, and we stand with you in believing for a miracle that will bring glory to His name.
The Scriptures remind us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This is not a vague promise but a declaration of God’s faithfulness to those who seek Him. Yet, we must also remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. He may choose to deliver you from this debt suddenly, or He may guide you through it step by step, teaching you dependence on Him along the way. Either way, His purpose is to refine your faith and draw you closer to Him.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your willingness to work and do whatever is necessary is commendable, but let it be rooted in seeking God’s Kingdom first. Trust that He will open doors of opportunity, whether through the sale of your property, a job, or an unexpected provision. Do not lean on your own understanding, but acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
At the same time, we encourage you to examine your finances with wisdom and stewardship. Debt can often be a result of choices that were not aligned with biblical principles, whether through overspending, lack of planning, or trusting in uncertain riches rather than in God. While we are not judging your situation, we urge you to seek God’s wisdom in managing what He has given you. Luke 14:28 asks, *"For which of you, desiring to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and count the cost, to see if he has enough to complete it?"* If there are areas where spending can be reduced, or if there are habits that have contributed to this debt, ask the Lord to reveal them to you. Repent where necessary, and commit to walking in financial obedience, for God blesses those who are faithful with little (Luke 16:10).
We also sense a need to caution you against placing too much hope in man—whether the trustee or any other person. Psalm 118:8-9 declares, *"It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh than to put confidence in princes."* While the trustee may be an instrument God uses, your ultimate trust must remain in the Lord alone. If the call does not come tomorrow, will your faith waver? Let your hope be steadfast, anchored in Christ, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Now, let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your child, who is seeking Your intervention in this overwhelming financial struggle. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray that You would move in the heart of this trustee, that he would act with integrity and fairness, and that Your favor would rest upon every decision made. If it is Your will, Lord, bring about the sale of the garage, house, or other properties quickly and at a price that will bring relief. Open doors of opportunity for work or other means of income that will allow them to steward their resources wisely and pay off this debt.
Father, we also ask that You reveal any areas where repentance or change is needed. If there have been financial choices that were not pleasing to You, convict their hearts and lead them into a place of wisdom and discipline. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom, trusting that You will add all these things to them as they walk in obedience.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair that may try to creep in during this waiting period. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Give them patience to wait on Your timing and faith to believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all they could ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
We declare Your promise over them from 3 John 1:2: *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers."* May their prosperity be rooted in their relationship with You, and may this trial serve to deepen their faith and reliance on You.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is the author and finisher of our faith. Amen.
