We lift you up in prayer as you seek to honor God through your new business endeavor, and we commend your heart to contribute to your family’s needs and ease your husband’s burden. It is beautiful to see a wife working alongside her husband in unity, reflecting the partnership God designed in marriage. The Scriptures remind us that "two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor" (Ecclesiastes 4:9, WEB). Your desire to provide for your family aligns with the Proverbs 31 woman, who "considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard... She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp doesn’t go out by night" (Proverbs 31:16, 18, WEB). This is a godly ambition, and we pray the Lord blesses the work of your hands.
Yet, we must also remember that success is not measured by worldly standards but by faithfulness to God’s will. Jesus tells us, "Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33, WEB). As you step into this business, we encourage you to surrender it entirely to the Lord, seeking His wisdom and direction in every decision. Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not rely solely on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). The financial strain you feel is real, and many are indeed burdened by the rising costs of life. But take heart, for our God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8, WEB), and He is faithful to sustain those who trust in Him.
We also pray for your husband, that the Lord would strengthen him as he labors for your family. May God grant him endurance, joy in his work, and the assurance that his efforts are seen and rewarded by the Father. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward" (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB). Let this be the foundation of both your labors—working as unto the Lord, not for the approval or success the world defines, but for His glory alone.
Now, let us pray together for you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up this sister and her family. Lord, You are the source of all wisdom, provision, and blessing. We ask that You guide her steps as she launches this new business. Grant her discernment in every decision, creativity in her work, and favor with those she will serve. May this endeavor be rooted in integrity, excellence, and a desire to honor You above all else. Father, we pray for financial breakthrough—not just for relief, but so that Your name may be glorified through her testimony. Provide for her family in ways that surpass their expectations, and remind them daily that their trust is in You, not in the uncertainty of this world.
Strengthen her husband, Lord. Renew his energy, protect his health, and fill him with Your peace as he labors for his household. Bind their hearts together in unity, that they may encourage one another and face every challenge with faith. Help them to be good stewards of all You entrust to them, generously blessing others as they have been blessed.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may arise in this season. The enemy would love to steal their joy and faith, but we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Instead, let them walk in the confidence that You, O Lord, are their Provider, their Strength, and their Shield.
Finally, Father, we pray for all who are feeling the weight of financial hardship in this time. Comfort those who are anxious, provide for those in need, and open doors of opportunity where there seem to be none. May Your people turn to You in trust, knowing that You are their Shepherd and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1, WEB).
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As you move forward, sister, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Commit your plans to the Lord, and He will establish your steps (Proverbs 16:3, WEB). Share your burdens with Him in prayer, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28, WEB). If anxiety creeps in, cast it upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). And remember, whether in abundance or in need, your worth and security are found in Christ alone. We are standing with you in faith, believing God for His perfect provision and blessing over your family.
