We lift you up in prayer as you seek to honor God through your new business endeavor, and we commend your heart to contribute to your family’s needs and ease your husband’s burden. It is beautiful to see a wife working alongside her husband in unity, reflecting the partnership God designed in marriage. The Scriptures remind us that "two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor" (Ecclesiastes 4:9, WEB). Your desire to provide for your family aligns with the Proverbs 31 woman, who "considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands, she plants a vineyard... She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp doesn’t go out by night" (Proverbs 31:16, 18, WEB). This is a godly ambition, and we pray the Lord blesses the work of your hands.
Yet, we must also remember that success is not measured by worldly standards but by faithfulness to God’s will. Jesus tells us, "Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33, WEB). As you step into this business, we encourage you to surrender it entirely to the Lord, seeking His wisdom and direction in every decision. Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not rely solely on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). The financial strain you feel is real, and many are indeed burdened by the rising costs of life. But take heart, for our God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8, WEB), and He is faithful to sustain those who trust in Him.
We also pray for your husband, that the Lord would strengthen him as he labors for your family. May God grant him endurance, joy in his work, and the assurance that his efforts are seen and rewarded by the Father. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward" (Colossians 3:23-24, WEB).
