We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up these earnest requests for financial provision and healing. First, we want to address the foundation of our prayers—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Without this, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from being in Christ.
Now, we stand in agreement for your financial needs. The doubling of your rent is a heavy burden, and we pray that God would provide for you in ways that only He can. The Lord knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8), and He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We pray for wisdom in managing your finances and for God to open doors of opportunity for increased income. We also lift up your landlady, asking that God would soften her heart and grant her a spirit of compassion and generosity. May she choose to lower the rent or provide another solution that eases your burden. We declare that God is your Provider, Jehovah Jireh, and He will not abandon you in your time of need (Genesis 22:14).
Regarding the healing of your eyesight, we believe in the power of God to restore and heal. The scripture you referenced, John 14:14, reminds us that when we ask anything in Jesus' name, He will do it. However, we must also remember that our requests must align with God's will and purposes. We pray for complete healing of your eyes, that the Lord would touch them and restore your vision so that you may not need surgery. We declare that by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on the promise that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We also pray for your blood pressure, that it would be stabilized and brought under control, for God is the Great Physician who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3).
We must also address the reality of financial windfalls and miracles. While we serve a God who is able to do the impossible, we must be cautious of the love of money, which is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). Our trust must be in God alone, not in wealth or material gain. We pray that any financial blessing you receive would be used wisely, for the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom. Let us not forget the words of Jesus: "For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul?" (Mark 8:36).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Lord, we lift up this family to You, asking that You would provide for their every need. Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for increased income and that You would soften the heart of their landlady to show mercy and lower the rent. Provide a way where there seems to be no way, Lord, and let Your name be glorified in this situation.
We also pray for healing, Father. Touch this dear one's eyes and restore their sight. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed. Stabilize their blood pressure and bring complete healing to their body. Lord, we trust in Your power to heal and restore, and we ask that You would work a miracle in their life.
Father, we ask that You would guard their hearts against the love of money and the desire for quick fixes. Let their trust remain in You alone, and may any financial blessing be used for Your glory. Teach them to be content in all circumstances, knowing that You are their Provider.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
