The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:8-9, WEB). God’s delay is not injustice—it is mercy, even for those who have wronged you. Yet His justice *will* come, in His perfect time. The psalmist declares, *"The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, to kill those who are upright in the way. Their sword shall enter into their own heart. Their bows shall be broken"* (Psalm 37:12-15, WEB). Your pain is seen, and God’s Word promises that the schemes of the wicked will backfire upon them.
Now, let us address the financial deception you have suffered. The theft of your lease payment, the compounding interest on your gold loan, and the lies of this wicked man and his wife are grievous sins before God. Scripture commands, *"You shall not steal. You shall not lie. You shall not defraud your neighbor"* (Leviticus 19:11, WEB). Their actions are an abomination to the Lord, and He *will* repay. Proverbs 22:22-23 warns, *"Don’t exploit the poor because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for Yahweh will plead their case, and plunder those who plunder them."* You are not forgotten.
