Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing us to pray with you about these financial needs for fees, home repairs, and the desire to give to the work of the Lord and to help others.
Your request reminds us that our greatest destiny is not financial but eternal. The God of all grace has called us to His eternal glory through Jesus Christ, and that is the true destiny for every believer. Scripture says that after you have suffered a while, He Himself will make you complete, establish you, strengthen you and settle you. Financial pressure is a real form of suffering, and God sees it, but He also uses seasons of need to shape our faith and keep us close to Him.
We also take comfort that God has left room for Himself to work in ways we might think impossible. Under the law God gave a procedure for the leper in the day of his cleansing, to come to the priest and be examined. Yet leprosy was incurable by human means. In giving that law, God was making provision for His own power to heal if He chose to do so. He did not box Himself in. In the same way we should not box God in now. What seems fixed or impossible to us is not beyond Him, and we can give Him allowance to work as He desires in your situation, whether through unexpected provision, through other believers, or through His own miraculous help.
At the same time, Scripture teaches us to trust God's wisdom about what is best for us. We do not always know whether it is better for us to have much or little, to be in health or in hardship. Sometimes the Lord allows a season of lack so that we learn daily dependence upon Him and continue to rely on Him for our provision. That does not mean He does not care about your needs, but that He knows what will keep your heart trusting Him most fully. Our prayer is not simply for more money, but for His perfect will and for contentment and faith while we wait on Him.
The Bible also shows us a beautiful picture of giving even in poverty. The believers in Macedonia were going through severe trials and deep poverty, yet out of the abundance of their joy they gave generously to help the poor saints in Jerusalem. Their giving was not forced by pledges or pressure, and it was not done to gain something in return. God loves a cheerful giver who gives freely from the heart as He provides. It is right to desire to give to the church and community, and we pray God will provide so you can do so with joy, not out of compulsion or manipulation, and never as a way to use faith for financial gain.
Above all, without forgiveness through Jesus we would face an eternal destiny apart from God, but through His grace He offers forgiveness and a secure hope. Keeping that eternal perspective helps us bring our earthly needs to Him with humility.
We are praying for you, that the Lord, according to His grace and wisdom, would provide for your fees and your home, that He would open the right doors in His timing and through the people He chooses, that He would give you wisdom in stewardship, and that He would keep your heart at peace, trusting Him day by day. May He establish and strengthen you as you look to Him, and may He enable you to give with joy as He supplies.
