We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this time of financial distress, lifting your needs before our Heavenly Father. The weight of financial struggle can feel overwhelming, especially when facing the threat of eviction, but we serve a God who sees your need and promises to provide. Scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." This is not a promise of luxury, but of sufficiency—God knows what you need to sustain you, and He is faithful.
We also recognize the importance of wise stewardship and diligent work. Proverbs 6:6-11 warns, "Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways, and be wise; which having no chief, overseer, or ruler, provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you sleep, sluggard? When will you arise out of your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: so your poverty will come as a robber, and your scarcity as an armed man." If there are areas where effort or planning can be improved, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and take practical steps while trusting in the Lord’s provision.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is facing financial hardship and the threat of eviction. Lord, You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your promise to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. We ask that You open doors of opportunity, whether through employment, assistance, or unexpected blessings, to alleviate this burden. Give wisdom to manage resources well and discernment to seek help where it is available.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of lack and fear that may be trying to take hold. Your Word says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Strengthen faith in this time, reminding our brother/sister that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with a community of believers who can offer support, encouragement, and practical help.
Lord, if there are areas where past mistakes or poor decisions have contributed to this struggle, we ask for Your forgiveness and restoration. Help them to learn from this season and grow in wisdom and dependence on You. We declare that this trial is not the end of their story—You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28), and we trust in Your faithfulness.
We pray for favor with landlords, employers, and anyone in authority who may have influence over their situation. Soften hearts and provide a way where there seems to be no way. Above all, draw them closer to You, Lord, so that even in this hardship, they may know You more deeply and experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray and believe for breakthrough, provision, and restoration. Amen.
Hold fast to hope, dear one. The same God who fed Elijah by the brook and multiplied the widow’s oil is able to meet your needs in ways you may not yet see. Keep your eyes on Him, seek His kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), and trust that He will not abandon you. If you are able, reach out to your local church or Christian community for support—they may have resources or connections to help in practical ways. You are not alone in this fight.
