We are truly sorry to hear about the financial struggles that your husband and family are facing. Remember, God cares about every detail of our lives, including our financial needs. He promises to provide for us, as seen in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB):
"Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
First, we want to encourage you to trust in God and to seek His kingdom first. This doesn't mean that we shouldn't work or be responsible with our finances, but it does mean that our focus should be on serving God and doing His will. Also make sure to remember the tithe and give offerings. The tithe is already God's and he only asks us to give it back to his church. It is also important to make sure the land that was sold was actually something God wanted and you sought counsel and prayer about it. You do not want to make major decisions without seeking God and counsel about it. Read below Proverbs 19:20-21 (WEB):
"Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter end. There are many plans in a man's heart; but Yahweh's counsel will prevail."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and her family. We pray for Your provision and wisdom in their financial situation. We ask that You guide them in their decisions, especially regarding the land sale, and that You provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to seek Your kingdom first and to trust in Your care. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage to seek Godly counsel and pray together as a family. Also make sure everyone in the family believes in Jesus Christ.
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil people: for not all have faith. But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and keep you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 (WEB)
For those who did not notice, the submitter did not mention Jesus, Jesus Christ, or Christ in the request. It is very important to remember that we only have access to God by the name of Jesus. His name is the only way to be saved and have access to God. For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13 (WEB)
We will keep you and your family in our prayers, trusting that God will meet your needs and guide you through this time.
