We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this time of financial struggle, lifting your need before the Lord who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). The weight of financial burden can feel crushing, but we serve a God who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Let us first examine our hearts and ways, for the Word tells us that "the borrower is servant to the lender" (Proverbs 22:7), and we must seek wisdom in our stewardship.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask for Your miraculous provision for our brother/sister in this time of need. You have promised that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things shall be added to us (Matthew 6:33). We pray that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that there will not be room enough to receive them (Malachi 3:10).
We rebuke the spirit of lack and poverty in Jesus' name, for Your Word declares that You came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Lord, we ask for wisdom in managing finances, for discipline in spending, and for opportunities to increase income according to Your will. Guide our steps to the right doors that need to be opened and close the ones that would lead to further struggle.
We also pray for contentment in whatever state we find ourselves, knowing that godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6). Help us to trust in Your provision rather than our own understanding or the world's systems. May we be good stewards of what You entrust to us, whether little or much.
Lord, if there has been any unconfessed sin or poor stewardship in the past, we ask for Your forgiveness and the strength to walk in Your ways. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray for a fresh start and a renewed mind in how we view and handle finances.
We declare that our God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We stand on this promise and thank You in advance for Your provision. May this trial produce perseverance, character, and hope in our lives (Romans 5:3-4). Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, knowing that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).
Finally, we commit to praying and fasting as needed, seeking Your face and not just Your hand. May we grow closer to You through this trial and come out stronger in faith and trust in Your provision. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray and believe. Amen.
