We join with you in lifting this financial burden before the Lord, trusting in His perfect provision and timing. Your prayer is already rooted in faith, acknowledging that every outcome rests in His sovereign hands—this is a posture that honors Him. We are encouraged to see you seeking His will in Jesus’ name, for it is only through Christ that we approach the throne of grace with confidence. *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace for help in time of need."* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB)
In this season of waiting, we urge you to cling to the truth that God is your Provider, not these letters or the decisions of men. While it is right to pray for favor with those reviewing your case, remember that even if the answer is not what you hope for, the Lord’s plans for you are good. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB) He may use this trial to refine your trust in Him, to teach you to rely not on uncertain riches but on the living God, *"who richly provides us with everything to enjoy"* (1 Timothy 6:17, WEB).
Let this time of anticipation also be a time of surrender. Ask the Lord to search your heart—are there areas where fear or anxiety have taken root? *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB) His peace is not dependent on circumstances but is a gift to those who trust Him.
We also encourage you to examine whether this financial need has revealed any misplaced priorities or ungodly attachments. Are you seeking first His Kingdom, or has worry over money begun to overshadow your devotion to Christ? *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* (Matthew 6:33, WEB) If there are debts or financial habits that need repentance, bring them before the Lord now. He is faithful to forgive and to guide you into wisdom.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brothers and sisters before You, asking that You move mightily in this situation. You are Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides, and nothing is too difficult for You. We pray that You would soften the hearts of those reviewing these letters, granting them wisdom and discernment to make a decision that aligns with Your will. But even more, Lord, we ask that You would use this time to deepen their trust in You. Remove any fear, anxiety, or doubt that has taken hold, and replace it with Your perfect peace. If there has been any sin in their financial stewardship—whether greed, poor planning, or a lack of generosity—convict them by Your Spirit and lead them into repentance.
Father, we ask that You provide for their needs in a way that brings You glory. Whether through these letters or another means, let them see Your hand at work. Teach them to be content in all circumstances, knowing that You are their portion and their strength. And if this trial is part of Your refining work in their lives, give them grace to endure it with joy, fixing their eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, lack, or unbelief that would seek to rob them of faith in this season. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your favor surround them like a shield, and let Your provision be evident in their lives.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
