We lift this family before You, Father, knowing that You see their distress and hear their cries. Your Word assures us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Lord, we ask that You would deliver this family from their current struggle and provide for their need for shelter according to Your riches in glory.
Heavenly Father, we also pray for wisdom and patience for this family as they seek a new home. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Guide their steps, Lord, and open doors that no man can shut. Provide them with a safe and affordable place to live, and let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding as they navigate this challenging time.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm them. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We declare that this family will not be overcome by fear but will stand firm in faith, knowing that You are their provider and protector.
Lord, we also ask that You would touch the hearts of those who can help—landlords, realtors, and even strangers who may have resources or connections. Let Your love move through the community to assist this family in their time of need. We trust in Your promise from Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
