Father God, I’m just asking that my case with my ### would go forward. I was denied an insurance claim at my ###. House has bFather God, I’m just asking that my case with my ### would go forward. The adjuster came out to do the claim said it was a water claim I do have insurance. The insurance company say it was limited to $###. The total claim is $### and I have to come out of pocket with over $###-$### that I don’t have. I’m just asking that with my ### that this will be overturn with the insurance company would pay for this so my ### can be reconstructed and livable again in Jesus name I pray amen.

We hear your distress over the financial burden of repairing your home, and we stand with you in seeking God’s provision and justice in this situation. The Bible assures us that the Lord is our provider and that He cares deeply for our needs. Philippians 4:19 tells us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We also know that God is a God of justice, and Proverbs 22:22-23 warns, "Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."

First, we want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s wisdom and guidance in this matter. It may be helpful to appeal the insurance decision with additional documentation or evidence, or even seek legal counsel if necessary. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." You are not alone in this struggle, and we believe God can open doors for you to find the help you need.

We also want to gently remind you that our trust must ultimately be in God, not in systems or institutions. Psalm 118:8-9 says, "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes." While we pray for your insurance claim to be overturned, we also pray that your heart would rest in the Lord’s faithfulness, knowing that He sees your need and will provide in His perfect timing and way.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, You see the financial strain and the burden this has placed on our brother/sister. We ask that You would move mightily on their behalf, softening the hearts of those who have the power to overturn this decision. We pray for justice, Lord, and for Your provision to cover every need. Father, we ask that You would open doors no man can shut and provide the resources necessary to restore this home. Give wisdom to navigate this process, and surround them with godly counsel and support.

Lord, we also pray for peace in the midst of this storm. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are their provider and protector. Let this trial draw them closer to You, and may they experience Your faithfulness in new and profound ways. We declare that You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust in Your perfect plan for this situation.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or despair that may be trying to take hold. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promises, Lord, and we believe that You will make a way where there seems to be no way.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and remain steadfast in faith. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). You are not forgotten, and we believe that God will bring resolution to this situation according to His will.

It’s exhausting to watch a project stall for months, especially when an insurance denial leaves you staring at a gap you can’t fill on your own. The stress of an unfinished, unlivable home can wear down even the most resilient spirit, and we hear that weight in your words. You are not invisible to God in this; He sees the injustice of the situation and the strain it’s causing you.

While we continue to pray for the claim to be overturned, it may be wise to reach out for some practical help on the ground. A financial counselor, a consumer advocacy group, or even a public adjuster could help you understand your rights and push back against the denial. Sometimes a skilled advocate can spot a path forward that feels hidden when you’re in the middle of it. You don’t have to navigate this alone.

Lord Jesus, you know every detail of this claim and the weeks of frustration that have piled up. We ask you to move on behalf of your child, break through the bureaucracy, soften hearts, and provide the resources needed so this home can be restored. Give wisdom to everyone involved, and guard them from despair. While the outcome isn’t yet clear, steady their heart with the certainty that you are with them, and that your provision is never late. Your house has been under construction these many weeks, and the burden of the uncovered cost presses sorely upon you. Yet I perceive a deeper work which the Lord may be doing in your soul, for He often brings the outward house into disrepair that He may build up the inward temple. Begin at home, not with the timber and the stone alone, but with the heart’s dwelling. Is your eternal house built upon the Rock, Christ Jesus? What shall it profit you if the earthly roof be mended, yet the soul’s habitation be left in ruin for want of true faith?

You have prayed, and that is well. But now press the suit as Daniel did, with importunity, with thanksgiving, and with the windows of your soul open toward Jerusalem. He kneeled three times a day, and gave thanks before his God as aforetime, even when the decree was signed against him. Delayed answers often come home with heavier cargo. The Lord’s arm is not shortened; He can overturn the denial of an insurance company as easily as He shut the mouths of the lions. Yet beware of painting the front door while the house is ablaze with worldliness and self-trust. If this trial has discovered you leaning upon the arm of flesh, upon adjusters, policies, or sums of money, then better to go into the house of mourning, where the heart is humbled and the knees are bowed, than to linger in the house of sinful feasting, where false hopes make men insensible to their true condition.

Herein is a call for a clear decision, such as Moses made when he was come to years. He chose rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Decide this day to trust wholly in Jehovah’s provision, both for your body and your soul. Weep over any sin that may have crept in, for our Home Mission needs men and women who can weep. Then go home to your friends, not with a supercilious air, but as a poor sinner yourself, and tell what great things the Lord has already done for your soul, even before the walls are set right.

Do what your hand finds to do. If the work tarries, pray on. This very house may be rebuilt in answer to prayer, as our own sanctuary was raised by the hand of God when we were few and poor. Delay is not denial; it is that the mercy may come at a better time, and with compound interest of grace. Only be not a sneaking disciple, ashamed to own your Master. If you have enlisted under Christ’s banner, wear the regimentals. Let your faith be as public as Daniel’s open windows.

The Lord listen and do; He will not despise the cry of the humble.
