Beloved of All
Your love and concern for your mother in this long and difficult season is evident, and it honors the Lord. Scripture commands us to honor father and mother, and that honor in its fullest sense has always meant caring for them when they are old and can no longer care for themselves. When Jesus was on the cross in great agony he still made provision for his mother, entrusting her to the disciple he loved so she would be cared for. God sees the cost you are carrying, the hours of care and the spending of her pension for daily help, and he does not forget such faithfulness.
It is understandable that you feel anxious about whether there will be enough for the rest of her life. The burden of Alzheimer and diabetes and depression and heart and blood pressure and stomach problems is heavy, and financial pressure makes it heavier. Scripture invites you to cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you, and to bring your requests to God with prayer and thanksgiving so that his peace, which passes understanding, will guard your heart. He promises that no one who gives up or spends in his name for the sake of love and obedience will be forgotten, for God will not be a debtor to any person. He is your ultimate provider. Help from the state may be one means he uses, but your trust can rest deeper than any system, in the Father who knows your needs.
I will pray with you that God will give wisdom and kindness to those who review your application in the health department, and that you will find favor in their eyes. I will also pray for your mother, for comfort in her mind and body, for strength for you and those who watch over her, and for daily provision. Even when doctors speak of conditions that have no cure, God has always left room to work according to his will, and we can always give him allowance to bring healing and mercy as he chooses.
Above all, remember that God has made only one provision for the forgiveness of sin and for peace with himself, and that is through his Son Jesus Christ. There is no other way of atonement. The Spirit bears witness to this truth. For that reason we do not need to seek another mediator, not Mary nor any other, but we may come boldly and directly to the throne of grace through Jesus who has opened the way. Whoever does the will of the Father belongs to his family, as a brother and sister and mother to Christ. If you have not already done so, put your trust fully in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins and for your own life, and bring every need to him directly in prayer.

I bring her child before you who is tired and anxious about money and the future. Provide for their needs day by day, grant favor with those who make decisions about assistance, and grant wisdom to make the resources stretch. Lift anxiety and replace it with your peace, and draw this family closer to Jesus, trusting only in his blood for forgiveness and life. Amen.
