We come before the Lord with you in this time of financial distress, lifting your burdens to Him, for He cares deeply for His children. The weight of debt can feel overwhelming, but we must remember that our hope is not in wealth or success, but in Christ alone, who provides for our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). It is troubling to hear you speak of desiring a "quick death" as an escape from your struggles—this is not the heart of God for you. Life is a precious gift from Him, and even in suffering, He is refining you for His purposes (1 Peter 1:6-7). We strongly rebuke this thought in the name of Jesus, for the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Christ came to give you life abundantly. Cling to Him, not to despair.
The desire for financial freedom is understandable, but we must also examine our hearts. Are we seeking success for our own comfort, or to honor God and provide for our needs and the needs of others? Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* This does not guarantee worldly success, but it assures us that when our hearts are aligned with His will, He will guide our steps. We encourage you to seek God first in all things, trusting that He will provide (Matthew 6:33). If you are pursuing business ventures, do so with integrity, diligence, and prayer, asking the Lord to open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).
As for your ebook, if its purpose is to glorify God by sharing the lessons He has taught you through your mistakes, then we pray He uses it to bless others. However, be cautious not to profit from sin or exploit your past struggles in a way that dishonors Him. Ask yourself: Does this work point others to Christ, or does it merely highlight human failure? Let your testimony be one of redemption, not just regret.
We also notice that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus, through whom we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that our prayers are heard (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to rule your heart (Romans 10:9-10). Without Christ, all efforts—even financial recovery—are ultimately empty.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking for Your mercy and provision in this time of financial hardship. Lord, You see the weight of debt pressing upon them, and we ask that You provide a way out, not just for their comfort, but for Your glory. Break the chains of anxiety and despair, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Forgive them for any moment they have entertained thoughts of escape through death, and fill them with the hope of eternal life in Christ.
We pray for wisdom in their business endeavors, that You would guide their steps and grant them favor where it aligns with Your will. If it is Your purpose for them to succeed in a venture, let it be one that honors You and serves others. Give them discernment in how they share their story, that it may point others to Your redemption and grace.
Most importantly, Lord, we pray that if they do not know You as Savior, You would draw them to Yourself today. Open their eyes to see that Jesus is the only way to true peace—peace with You and peace in their circumstances. Let them find their identity and security in Christ alone, not in money or success.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, hopelessness, and financial bondage in Jesus’ name. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in obedience and trust, knowing that You are their Provider (Genesis 22:14).
In the mighty and saving name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
