Disciple of Prayer
I pray for god to deliver us. A financial breakthrough. A change in the heart of my landlord whom is seeking legal eviction on our home. We are in need for 30k to find another home, pay deposit and hire a mover. We have zero funds. Despite working 12 hours daily. We barely can keep afloat. But we pray and ask god for intercession. For a financial breakthrough. For a hand to outstretch and help us. For god to send us the needed money. To Hold back the people persecuting us legally. God. We need you. We have no way to turn. And no means. Except in prayer that you will deliver us through this. God. Send us the money we need. Send us the angel to protect us. God do no forsake us. Our family is on the brink of eviction, we have no home. We have children. Elderly and our beloved pets. We have no home god send us the provider. Do not let us be persecuted. Do not let us fall. Do not forsake us. Lord God. Hear our cries and deliver us. Do not forsake us. We need the money not for our own pleasure but a basic need to put a roof over our head. God hear us. Please send us the breakthrough we need. We know we are covered by the blood of Jesus. We know. So god. Protect us. Deliver us. Do not forsake us and let us be homeless.

We hear your desperate cry and stand with you in this time of great need, lifting your family up before the throne of grace. The weight of financial distress, the threat of eviction, and the fear of homelessness are heavy burdens, but we serve a God who hears the prayers of His children and moves mountains on their behalf. Your situation is not hidden from Him, and He sees every tear, every sleepless night, and every act of faith as you continue to work diligently despite overwhelming circumstances.

First, we want to affirm that your trust in God’s provision is not in vain. Scripture assures us, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB). This is not a promise of luxury, but of God’s faithfulness to provide for the basic needs of His children, shelter, food, and protection. You are not asking for wealth or comfort, but for the means to secure a home for your family, and this aligns with God’s heart for the vulnerable. "For the Lord loves justice and does not forsake his saints; they are preserved forever" (Psalm 37:28 WEB).

We also rebuke the spirit of oppression and persecution that seeks to drive you from your home. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that every legal threat and every unjust action against you will be thwarted in Jesus’ name. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We pray that the heart of your landlord would be softened, that they would extend mercy, or that God would intervene in the legal process to grant you favor and time to secure a new home.

Your labor is not in vain, and your faithfulness in working long hours is seen by God. "Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us, yes, establish the work of our hands" (Psalm 90:17 WEB). We pray that God would multiply your efforts, open doors of opportunity, and connect you with those who can provide the financial assistance you need. We also encourage you to seek out local churches, Christian organizations, and community resources that may offer rental assistance, temporary housing, or financial aid. God often works through His people to meet the needs of others, and we believe He will raise up helpers for you.

Now, we lift your family to the Lord in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding on behalf of this family who is facing the threat of eviction and homelessness. Lord, You are the Provider, the Shelter, and the Strong Tower for the weary. We ask that You move mightily on their behalf. Open the windows of heaven and pour out Your provision so that they may secure a new home, pay the necessary deposits, and cover the costs of moving. Father, we ask that You soften the heart of their landlord and grant them favor in any legal proceedings. Let no weapon formed against them prevail, and let every plan of the enemy be thwarted in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we pray for supernatural provision, whether through unexpected financial gifts, new job opportunities, or the generosity of Your people. You know their needs before they ask, and we trust that You will not forsake them. Provide for their children, their elderly family members, and their beloved pets. Let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, even in the midst of this storm.

Father, we also ask that You strengthen their faith. Remind them that You are their Refuge and that You have not forgotten them. Let them hold fast to Your promises, knowing that You are working all things together for their good. Surround them with Your angels for protection and comfort. We declare that this trial will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who bore our burdens and secured our victory. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to seek help. Reach out to your local church or Christian organizations that may have resources for housing assistance. Websites like [updated.org](http://www.updated.org) (our affiliated site) may also have listings for financial aid, job opportunities, or temporary housing solutions. Do not hesitate to ask for help, God often uses His people as vessels of His provision.

Lastly, we want to gently address the importance of placing your faith fully in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and the assurance of salvation. "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, repent of any sins, and trust in His finished work on the cross for your salvation. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6 WEB).

You are not forgotten, and you are not alone. God sees your struggle, and He will not abandon you. Keep standing on His promises, keep praying, and keep trusting. Your breakthrough is coming.

We hear how heavy this is, working twelve-hour days and still facing the possibility of losing the roof over your family’s head. That kind of pressure grinds a person down, and the fear in your words is something we take seriously. We’re praying with you, not because God needs convincing, but because He invites us to cast every bit of this on Him.

When you’re down to zero and the paperwork for eviction is already moving, one of the most practical things you can do is make a phone call to every tenant assistance or eviction-prevention program in your area. Often 211 can connect you to local resources, and some churches and community organizations have emergency rental funds that can intervene even when the legal process has started. It’s exhausting to add another task, we know, but those calls can sometimes unlock help that buys critical time.

We also want to name something: you are not “persecuted” in God’s eyes because you’re facing this. Believers do face overwhelming hardship, and He never sees yours as small. But there’s a difference between being crushed by a fallen world’s economic realities and being abandoned by your Father. The cross already settled that, He won’t forsake you. That doesn’t make the eviction notice less terrifying, but it does mean your family’s ultimate belonging isn’t hanging on this outcome.

Lord, we lift up this family to You. You see the long shifts, the empty account, and the fear of what comes next. Provide the tangible help they need, whether through a sudden open door, a program that releases funds, or a hand that reaches out at the right moment. Give them clear minds for the practical steps ahead, and in the waiting, steady their hearts with Your presence. Protect the children, the elderly, and even the beloved pets under their care. We ask for a softened approach from the landlord, and for a path through this that puts a stable home within reach. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Your cry has not passed unnoticed by the God who hears the ravens when they call. Do you think He will turn a deaf ear to the blood-bought cries of His own children? He sees the narrowness of your straits, the landlord pressing, the funds exhausted, the long hours of labour yielding no lasting fruit. And yet, take heart: it is precisely when we are brought low that the Lord delights to show Himself strong. Do you remember the instances of His hand? Joseph in the dungeon, Israel in Egypt, Hannah in the family of Elkanah, David when Samuel would have passed him by, Hezekiah when Sennacherib rebuked him. Are not all these instances of God exalting the low tree? The dry tree by divine grace shall flourish; the green tree, deserted by the dew of heaven, shall dry up. You have been stripped of self-trust; now is the hour for the Lord to work.

I hear your plea for ### pieces, for a roof, for a staying of the oppressor’s hand. These are not wicked luxuries, but honest needs. Yet, child, let your first cry be for the Divine Presence. Is this not the one thing needed? When the Lord comes down, the mountains flow like glaciers in summer’s sun. His nearness will be your shelter when no earthly home stands. Lay hold of this: there is no attribute of God more comforting to His children than the doctrine of Divine Sovereignty. He appoints the bounds of our habitation, and He sends the deliverance at the very moment when His glory will be most clearly seen. Divine interpositions come in the way of deliverance from floods of trouble, not always by the quiet ordering of providence, but by wonders that make the mouth fill with praise. Has He not done it for you before? How strikingly has God delivered some of us! What remarkable preservations of life have we enjoyed; not miraculous, certainly, but full of wonder for all that.

You speak of long toil and empty hands. This is a sore trial, and I would not make light of it. Yet mark this: the nest being stirred up often drives the young eagle to take wing. You are in need, your comforts torn away, and perhaps the Lord’s design is to teach you that none can keep alive his own soul, nor his own body, nor his own household. We are not self-contained even for five minutes. Take away the atmospheric air and who could keep himself alive? Take away the smile of God and all our sweating and striving amount to nothing. The stout pair of arms and the clear brain may promise much, but God is against the man who leans on them. But the broken and contrite heart, the poor man who cries unto the Lord, shall be lifted up. The low tree shall mount even to the stars. Bring your empty cup and hold it under the Divine Fountain. Faith to accept His provision is all that is required. Do not say you must first see the money; faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

I must speak plainly: this trial may be a Divine discipline to wean you from the breasts of self and make you see that salvation, both temporal and eternal, must come from above as the pure gift of Divine Grace. You are covered by the blood of Jesus; that is your eternal safety. If that be so, then the Lord will never forsake you. Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him. He will not let the righteous be moved. Your soul is secure in the finished work of Christ, and therefore this present affliction is but for a moment, working in you a far more exceeding weight of glory. Do not let the fear of homelessness drown out that unshakable hope. Your life is hid with Christ in God, needs a roof though you do, your true dwelling is in the cleft of the Rock.

Yet do I not bid you to be passive. Cry on, and let your petitions be heard without ceasing. Pray with the prophet, “Oh that You would rend the heavens and come down!” Pray that the Lord would hold back the persecuting hand, that He would send an angel, a human messenger, or a sudden turn of affairs. He has His secret ways, the secret of the tabernacle where no enemy can tread. Divine surprises are His special delight. When there seems no way, He makes a way. He sent Abigail to David just at the moment of folly. He sent the ravens to Elijah. He sent a fish with a coin for the tribute. Are His stores exhausted? Is His arm shortened? Not at all. Wait on the Lord, I say, wait on the Lord.

But now a searching word. You have pleaded the blood of Jesus. Does that blood speak better things than the blood of Abel, crying for mercy rather than vengeance? Then rest there. Let not your heart be divided between faith and murmuring. When the worldling taunts, “What business have you with your religion? Go on with your bricks,” answer with the Divine challenge, “Thus saith the Lord, let My people go.” God will make a way, but He will be honoured in the believing of His word. If you would see the glory, believe. Some of us never can forget the rapture all Divine when He showed us His hands and His feet, and said, “I have suffered all this for you. Weep no more.” That same risen Christ is at the Father’s right hand, interceding for you. He knows what it is to have no home, to be driven out, to be homeless in His very birth. He will not leave you comfortless.

I commit you to the God who exalts the low tree. Look for the Divine interposition. Pray for the Divine Presence, for with that you will need no more. And when deliverance comes, as come it shall, whether by a gift, by a softening of the landlord’s heart, or by some door opened in the wilderness, then bless the hand which tore away your comforts, seeing Divine Wisdom and Infinite Affection in it all. Meanwhile, let the language of your soul be this: “My soul, wait only upon God, for my expectation is from Him.” He hath delivered, He doth deliver, and He will yet deliver. To Him be the glory.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What a furnace of affliction you now endure, and how the flames of this trial lick at the very walls of your heart! The threat of losing a roof, the weight of debt, the weariness of long labor that yields no fruit, the faces of children and aged loved ones looking to you for shelter, all these cry out as with one voice, and that voice pierces heaven. Do you think God does not hear? He who clothes the grass of the field and feeds the ravens, He who sees the sparrow fall, does He not see you? He sees, beloved, and He permits this anguish not to break you, but to make you. The devil whispers that you are forsaken, that prayer is vain, that God has forgotten. But cast that lie back into his teeth. For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom He receives. You cry out for a financial breakthrough, for ### pieces of silver to escape the landlord’s hand. It is not a sum for luxury or pride, but for the shelter of your own. This is no sinful plea. Yet I say to you: do not fasten the whole hope of your heart upon that sum, as if without it God had no deliverance. The human mind in straits seizes upon one narrow door, "Send me this exact help in this exact way or we perish!" But the storehouses of our God are not so small. He can soften the heart of your landlord that he relents, even as He turned the heart of Esau toward Jacob. He can send you a man of peace, a stranger with a merciful heart, to give you respite. He can provide bread in the wilderness by ways you have not dreamed. Therefore, while you rightly make your request known with tears, also say, "Yet not my will, but Thine be done; only, O Lord, let me not be put to shame."

Do you think I am untouched by your labor, your twelve hours of daily toil that barely keeps you afloat? I sigh with you. For the curse of Adam presses hard upon the poor, and the world is a hard master. But see, in this very misery, God is teaching you a wisdom that cannot be learned in ease: that here we have no lasting city. If you had the ### tomorrow, and a new home, and all debts paid, would your soul then be safe? Yet still a trial remains, the trial of the rich, which is a harder snare. Now you possess little, and so have fewer chains binding you to the dust. Now you have a school for prayer that the wealthy rarely enter. Do not despise this school, though it be bitter. Let the sweat of your brow be an offering, and let your weariness become a psalm of dependence. I do not command you to be insensible, we are not Stoics, but I beg you to mingle your lament with hope.

But what of the practical need? Shall the children sleep in the street? God forbid. Has the church no bowels of compassion? Here must be put to the test whether our worship is pure, for charity is the sister of the Eucharist. You have come with your prayer to the household of God; now let that household not turn a deaf ear. If there are those among us who have this world’s goods and see a brother or sister in need and shut up their hearts, how does the love of God abide in them? You have asked for an angel; perhaps God will stir up a fellow heir of the kingdom, one who has been blessed with means, to be that angel. Do not cease to make your need known to the brethren, for disaster shared is halved, and the prayers of the many prevail. Yet, if help tarries, do not charge God with neglect. His delay is not denial. He waited four days to raise Lazarus, that the miracle might be more glorious. Perhaps He waits that you may see clearly that it is His hand alone that saves, and that no human arm can claim the glory.

One thing more I press upon your spirit: while you cry out for money, do not neglect the wealth that moth and rust cannot corrupt. The wise man in Proverbs asks for neither poverty nor riches, lest he be full and deny God, or in want and steal. But you are in want; so guard your heart against bitterness, against envy of the wealthy, against the lie that God is unfair. Would you rather have the rich man’s purple and his flame, or Lazarus’s sores and the bosom of Abraham? The great breakthrough you truly need is the breaking of the crust of fear and doubt around your soul, so that the light of the Resurrection may flood in. Christ did not spare His own life for you; will He not freely give you all things? Let that anchor hold. Lay hold of the promise that those who seek the Kingdom first will have all earthly need added to them.

Stand fast, then, when the powers of darkness roar against you. When the legal threat comes, remember Pilate, and see that no judge has authority except what is given from above. That persecution may be a platform for deliverance. Cry out in the night, “O Lord, help us! We are covered by the blood of Jesus, and that blood speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.” That blood does not plead for houses and gold, but for souls and resurrection. Yet because it bought your whole self, body, soul, home, and hope, commit all these into the pierced hands that rule the universe. Do not let the fear of homelessness choke the seed of faith. For you are not homeless; you are pilgrims on the way to the Father’s house, where there are many mansions. In the meantime, let the trial do its perfect work, making you perfect and complete, lacking nothing. And may the God of all comfort Himself appear as your provider, whether by a sudden windfall, a change of heart in your creditor, or the rising of the church to love you as its own flesh. I do not cease to groan with you in this struggle, and I beseech the Lord of lovingkindness to grant you swift mercy, and a testimony of His faithfulness that will shine as a beacon in this dark age.
