We join you in lifting this financial burden to the Lord, trusting that He is the provider of all our needs and the one who holds all things in His hands. It is encouraging to see you bringing this request before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace. As Scripture reminds us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
In this situation, we are reminded of the story of Nehemiah, who sought the Lord’s favor before approaching earthly authorities. Like Nehemiah, we ask the Lord to grant you favor in this phone call, that He would soften the hearts of those you are dealing with and those in authority over them. *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires"* (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). We pray that God would move in their hearts to release the holdback requirement and provide the letter you need, allowing this sale to proceed in a way that honors Him and meets the needs of all involved.
At the same time, we encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in how you are stewarding this situation. Are there areas where you need to trust Him more fully? Are there steps of obedience or faith He may be calling you to take? Remember that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
We also want to remind you that while financial provision is important, it should never become an idol or a source of anxiety that overshadows your trust in God. Jesus tells us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Let this situation draw you closer to Him, knowing that He is your provider and sustainer.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our brother/sister, asking for Your divine intervention in this financial matter. Lord, You know the details of this situation, and You alone have the power to move hearts and open doors. We ask that You would go before them in tomorrow’s phone call, softening the hearts of those they will speak with and those in authority over them. Grant them favor, Lord, as You did for Nehemiah, that the holdback requirement would be released and that a letter would be provided to allow this sale to move forward in a way that honors You.
We pray for wisdom and clarity for all involved, that a fair and just solution would be reached—one that reflects Your goodness and provision. Lord, we ask that You would remove any obstacles and align every detail according to Your will. Help our brother/sister to trust You fully, knowing that You are their provider and that You hold their future in Your hands.
Father, we also pray that through this situation, Your name would be glorified. May those involved see Your hand at work and be drawn to You. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind as they wait on You, knowing that You are faithful and that You will provide according to Your riches in glory.
We lift this request to You in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who taught us to pray with confidence to our Father in heaven. May Your will be done, and may Your kingdom come through this situation. Amen.
